I like almost everything about this case except for one (near) fatal flaw: the velcro that holds your pilot in the case is required to be attached to the hatch that covers the expansion/memory card port! I often find that upon unzipping my case, the pilot has shifted position and the velcro has remained locked to the hatch, thus REMOVING the hatch. It got annoying after the 100th time. Also, I have big suspicions that this is what caused my palm pilot to do a hard reset and lose all of my information when I was on a trip.

As a dedicated Palm IIIxe power user, I've devoted as much time to finding the perfect carrying case as I have installing third-party software. This is one of the better ones I've used so far, but still not yet "the perfect case." The leather cover wears well and is smooth for seamless putting in/taking out of your pocket. The full zipper closure protects your Palm, your business cards or paper notes, and prevents your stylus from getting lost if it pops out of your Palm. I do agree with previous reviewers--make this a fraction of an inch larger. I don't use the front flip cover on my Palm, but I know that many people do, and it should be considered into the computations when designing a case. Another flaw that makes this not-quite-perfect is the misplaced Velcro that can pull off your battery cover if you're not careful. You can install your own Velcro if you want--but why should you have to? When will some enterprising case manufacturer come up with a clever-clever design that will hold your Palm secure and safe in a case, yet doesn't involve smacking a great big piece of fuzzy fabric on the back? There's a mint to be made out there for someone who does!

This case is great for the IIIx. Unfortunately, it only works for the IIIc if you remove the flip cover. I don't go anywhere without the flip cover, so I switched to a different brand of case.

I really like the quaility leather used to make this case. It looks and feels great, but I have to agree with previous reviewers that the velcro holding the Palm in place can pull off the battery cover and cause the whole thing to fall out of it's case. This happened almost half the time I opened it to use it. Needless to say, it sits in my desk drawer now. It's unfortunate because other than that one design flaw, the case is made very well.

One other thing to consider is that with the leather case on, you can't slip the Palm in your shirt pocket, which can be very convenient.

I don't know why other people complain so much about this case, it's an excelent case, good quality, the leather used feels good, and you can put a lot of stuff inside and once zippered you know everything is going to remain there, that's the good thing over the other cases. The coments regarding that the velcro will pull the battery cover are nonsense since the velcro is attached to the upper part of your palm, and the battery cover is in the mid-low section. Maybe in previous models it was misplaced, but if this was true, it's been corrected.

The four stars is only because it's a little bulky, but you can't blame the manufacturer for this, I think it was built to use as little space as possible.

This is the case for you if you don't have a need to tote your Palm around all day. My Palm IIIxe fits fine with the flip lid installed, and I didn't have to attach any velcro since the case is completely sealed when zipped.

Just fits the palm IIIxe with the hard cover on it. Even it takes some effort to take the palm out safely, but overall this is a nice case. Much better than the slim case in terms of protection. Also, there is space for an extra stylus. I believe the only case that is better than this one is the Titanium one.

The Zippedred Leather Case for the Palm III series is very good. You just have to "break it in". When you first put your Palm into it, it dosn't cute fit, and you'll have to remove to front cover. And who want's to remove the front cover. But use it and use it, and eventually the there is room for the front cover.

The case is as I mention good, but why in the world haven't Palm made it just halv a centimeter bigger?.

Good case, with necessary pockets for storing credit cards and other important stuff. The exterior is not so smooth that it will get cut by anything but also not too rough. My Palm IIIxe fits in very comfortably. The velcro for sticking the Palm is at the top so it does not affect the battery cover... ... price is cheaper than any other online store that I could find.

The only drawback is that when you have to HotSync Palm then you need to remove the PDA from its velcro. But then I can't think of any other case that allows one to do an HotSync with the PDA in the case.
