Although this product is well designed and great as an auxillary charger (one the desk, one in the briefcase for travel) the description here gives the impression that it will work with both the Zire and the Zire 71. If you have the Zire 71, do not buy this product. It wont' work. Now I'm stuck with a charger I can't use because I let 30 days pass from the shipping date.

Should have looked at the reviews. It doesn't work with my Zire71, and since I opened it, I'm stuck. Palm's marketing and descriptions of addons are a mess, and this is a prime example. You can't tell what works with what, because information is incomplete or conflicting. I stuck with Palm for my third pda, but I'm beginning to wonder if that was a good decision.

The USB sync cable does fit my Zire 31, and luckily that's the primary reason I bought this kit. The charging cable definitely doesn't fit the little hole on the Zire 31, though. So at this point (based on the earlier reviews) I'm wondering which, if any, of the Zire models this kit was intended for -- just the basic Zire 21 (or whatever the model number for the B&W version is)?

I didn't see anything about not being compatible with Zire 71 when I purchased this. I will be returning it.

I purchased this after seeing on the Palm.com website that it would fit my Zire 31. WRONG! It doesn't fit, what a waste of time and money. Definately returning this one!

I purchase the Zire by Palm Amason recommended the hotzinc and charging kit. This was an unnecessary purchase the Zire comes with both other then some specific attachments the average individual will never use. I am returning the product.

The Tungsten E is the black sheep of the Tungsten Palm product line. It charges and sychronizes likes the Zire product line. However, this product will not work for the Tungsten E! I have had to purchase other Zire products for my palm, but this one is not compatible. The charger connection end is too big for the Tungsten E. I recently bought and brought this product on vacation only to find out after my palm was out of charge that it did not fit.

I also purchased this product without reading the reviews. Oh soooo misleading, now I am leaving on a 2 week trip with no charger!!! Very, Very poor item description.
