5.0 out of 5 stars Palm m100 Slim Leather Carrying Case
This case is the BEST investment for your Palm you'll ever make. I am a neat freak and was worried about finding something that I would like that wasn't clumsy or bulkly for my new Palm m100 and I found it. It is real leather! Soft foam padding protects the Palm and love the slots for the credit cards/business cards. It is real professional looking. I always get...

3.0 out of 5 stars Decent leather but does make M100 bulky
Bought one of these for myself but passed it on to another Palm M100 buyer. The case opens only one way -- Palm on the right, slots for credit cards on the left. This makes the machine much bulkier to carry and, more importantly, awkward to use if you tend to approach the Palm from left as well as right.

Bought one of these for myself but passed it on to another Palm M100 buyer. The case opens only one way -- Palm on the right, slots for credit cards on the left. This makes the machine much bulkier to carry and, more importantly, awkward to use if you tend to approach the Palm from left as well as right.

On the other hand, the new owner is absolutely thrilled with the quality of the leather and fascinated by the use of velcro to attach the Palm to the case. Moreover, she works her Palm on flat surfaces where the extra leather to the left is less bothersome than my approach of holding the Palm in mid-air. Conclusion? Try looking at this case open before you buy to be sure it suits your style.

3.0 out of 5 stars The case needs improvement, May 3, 2001

I bought the slim leather case about 5 days ago. Here is what I think about it:

Pros: professional looking, quality leather, card slots nice addition

Con: case makes the Palm bulky, stylus is difficult to reach once Palm is fastened to the case, the location of the snap(leather strip)on the right is awkward. It hangs over the screen of the palm and can be anoying. Might be better if snap was locatd on the left.

4.0 out of 5 stars Awkward Stylus Removal, December 5, 2000

I love the look and function of the leather case, and it is perfect padded protection for a purse or backpack. BUT...I almost decided against it, because it is so awkward to retrieve the stylus. In part it may be due to my left-handedness, but it still is a struggle to reach under to the right and pull the stylus loose. I wish the case had been designed with a stylus holder down the centerfold. This should definitely be considered with a redesign.

3.0 out of 5 stars Too big, September 17, 2000

The Case looks very nice, but it makes the palm too large to fit in your pocket. I also prefer the loop type strap on the other cases to the snap on this case.

5.0 out of 5 stars Wanna protect YOUR Palm? Buy this today!, February 7, 2002
This review is from: PalmOne m100 Series Slim Leather Carrying Case (Office Product)
I am acutely aware of how fragile a small electronic device can be having dropped my cell phone on numerous occasions, I have found that a protective cover isn't just sylish, but a complete necessity if you want your items to last -- and with what they cost, I need to squeeze as much use out of mine as possible.

I looked around for quite awhile before I purchased mine, and I went with this particular model mostly because it was designed specifically for the entire m-class of Palm Pilots (I personally have the m125). I love the look of this carrying case, and yes, it IS made of real leather. It has now entirely replaced my wallet thanks to the pockets inside which can hold my credit cards, drivers license and cash (if I'm ever fortunate enough to actually GET some from the missus...). Because of the Palm inside I don't feel comfortable putting it in my back pocket like I did my old wallet, and since mine did not come with a belt clip, I bought the same model I use for my cell phone and it works like a charm (now if I can only remember to take it off before I sit down on it in the car...). The velcro snap on my particular model has worked perfectly since the moment I opened it up, and see no future problem resulting since it seems to be well stitched on in the back.

All in all, if you have an m-class Palm product, don't just rely on the semi-rubber flip cover that it comes with, buy one of these slim leather carrying cases and you will increase the life & reduce the wear of your product significantly -- especially if you fumble with your pilot as much as I do. There are many different types of cases available, and I would imagine most do a great job of protecting your Pilot...but for this specific model, I can honestly say mine was 100% worth the cost.

The case looked nice and distinguished. I was happy as I took it out of the box and mounted my m100...

I closed the snap.

Then I opened the snap, and it broke. Tore right out.

*sigh*

3.0 out of 5 stars Elegant but fragile..., April 22, 2001
This review is from: PalmOne m100 Series Slim Leather Carrying Case (Office Product)
The Leather case is very elegant and fits nicely in the side pocket of my suit jacket (just a little bulgy). I carry it with me always and everyone compliments the case as extremely nice. It does a great job protecting the palm but the snap closure is very fragile. After three months with mine, the snap came right off the leather (the little hole that goes attached to the front of the case). I had to place a new snap with a riveter and render the credit card compartments useless. I am happy with it anyway and I dont think all of them have that quality flaw.

You stick the Palm to the case with velcro but then the case backing is up against the stylus, making it very hard to get the stylus out to use it. Very impractical.

They could have easily solved this by creating a stylus pocket in the curved part of the case (where it folds). I will have to try to rig up something there otherwise the case will not be useful.

5.0 out of 5 stars EXTREMELY DURABLE!!!!!!!!, February 11, 2001
By A Customer
This review is from: PalmOne m100 Series Slim Leather Carrying Case (Office Product)
When I bought the leather case, for a couple weeks, I thought it was the coolest thing in the world, then I started thinking maybe I should have gotten one of the glove ones, that aren't leather. Well, low and behold, I'm a motorcycle rider, and I wanted to get an early jump on my season this year. Stupidly, our town doused the roads with sand instead of salt because someone made the salt order a little too late. Anyway, I was warming my bike up taking it around my neighborhood and I went to make a corner, but my bike kept skidding, eventually throwing me off!! My hairbrush, gum, and everything in my jacket pockets flew out, including my M100. I was more concerned about my motorcycle, which ended up being fine (thank God for engine guards!!). Anyway, one of my friends live right at the corner and knew I was coming by. Seeing my accident, he came out to help and saw that I was fine, so he started picking up my things from the middle of the road. He came up to my palm, and the leather was a bit dirty and wet, but he turned it on, and there were no scratches. He then yelled to me that my palm was fine. You may ask why he yelled? Well, he, and my palm pilot were about 60 feet away from me and the motorcycle. I don't know how fast I was coming around the corner, but I skidded about 20 feet from the corner. So, if that doesn't say durable, I don't know what does.
