Editorial Reviews

From Publishers Weekly

Embattled executives, medical miracles and the Mafia loom large in Palmer Lake by Thomas C. McCollum III (Tainted Blood). Many in Palmer Lake, S.Dak., are stunned when local resident and world's richest entrepreneur Will Chase commits suicide, and a few especially his wife believe there was foul play. As the investigation of his death drags on and Chase's cryogenically frozen body becomes part of a battle between rival international research facilities, it looks like he may be the first human to be brought back to life to name his killer.

3.0 out of 5 stars The future is here now!, February 7, 2002

I literally could not put this book down until I was finished. The Scientific community has been my life and this book has the Scientists of the world salivating. It was a pleasure reading "fiction" that is very very close to future reality. A complete mystery with a shocking and pleasant end.

What a story! Stirs your fantasy and imagination. Very exciting writing. I could not put the book aside before I had finished - that meant a full night without sleep.
The story behind and the thourough research McCollum has done provides a mindbugging outlook, what cryonics might be able to do in the future.
Very good reading, colourful caracters and a fantastic plot -
a full thumbs up.

5.0 out of 5 stars A glimpse of where the near future just might lead, June 3, 2002
This review is from: Palmer Lake (Hardcover)
Thomas McCollum's Palmer Lake is a disturbing novel offering a glimpse of where the near future just might lead. A wealthy man commits suicide, and his body is cryogenically preserved - but when some question of whether or not he was murdered arises, advances in cryogenic technology imply that he just might be revived to name his killer! Palmer Lake is truly compelling saga of lies, deceit, money, and power.
