Palmetto Alphabet Book
I find this book a lovely way to incorporate the alphabet and our Southern heritage! Pictures are richly done and adults will enjoy as well!

Mainly about the coast of SC
This is a beautifully illustrated book and a lot of fun to read, but I was disappointed in the coverage of the state. Most of the alphabet is about the coast and especially Charleston. There is one letter about the entire upstate of South Carolina and a couple about Columbia.

I love, love children's books illustrated by Mary Whyte. She is one of the most talented artists ever. Mary is a SC transplant and we love having her here. She has an amazing understanding of South Carolina culture and expresses it so eloquently. We are truly blessed by her work.
