Great for Beginners,
By Cypress "Cypress Rynae Morrigan" (Texas, USA) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Palmistry: How to Chart the Lines of Your Life (Paperback)
I bought this book from a used book store. You may think "well it must not be good if it's in a used book store" but I could see why some one would get rid of it. It's great for beginners, and it has lots of diagrams, so an advanced user might wish to sell it to get one more advanced. The best way to use this book is to write down each detail of your own hand and combine the facts revealed by your hand for better understanding. Flipping through it and comparing every line and quickly reading it isn't the way to learn so I could understand some one saying it is hard to comprehend.

I have looked at at least 20 books on palmistry and chose to buy this one. I like the way it is organized in categories and love the sample palm readiings. I think it is a great book especially for people new to palmistry.

A must manual for new palmists,

I bought this book at a used book store when I was 11 years old. It was very comprehensive but still very easy to use and easy to understand. It covered everything from the most basic information to the more advanced and noteworthy details. Unfortunately when my mom found the book I was forced to give it up, but 9 years later I still remember most of what I learned from this book. I'm so thankful I finally found it, I'll never give it up again! This is a must have manual - pun intended

A Waste of Money!,
This review is from: Palmistry: How to Chart the Lines of Your Life (Paperback)
This is a horrible book. The explanation of the book is hard to understand. The pictures are limited, not a wide variety. You have your 5 basic hands, that's it. It doesn't give a clear answer. For a great book about palmistry that is easy to understand try "Instant Palm Reader". If you choose to buy this book...good luck!

I bought this book because a friend recommended it to me. It is hard to interpret and no matter how many times I've looked at it or read it, I still feel like the only 3 lines I can for sure read are my life, head, and heart. The images are very basic with a hand outline and the colored lines drawn on to that outline. It teaches you the basics (i.e. finger names, mounts, and basic lines) but pretty much ends there. I've had it for about 1 year now, looked at it a several times, and have decided to invest in either a class or a couple of different books. There is no way one could accurately read some body from this book.

I had borrowed this book from my daughter because I wanted to start learning about palm reading.
This is an excellent book and was fun to take pictures of friends and family palms and then look up their hand types and what their lines meant.

GREAT Book to Begin Learning Palmistry,

I really enjoyed this book on Palmistry and even though there are some "old school" ideas presented, I felt it gave a really good foundation in basic palmistry. The chapters on the lines of the palm are especially well done. It was very well illustrated and easy to read and follow. I did not have to squint and strain to figure out the pictures!

Horrible Book,

This book in not for a novice. It is for the advanced and even then it leaves so much out. The pictures didn't help and weren't explained much but rather used in examples...how would one begin to understand the basics? I'm sure there are better books.
Also, there's no actual photos of real hands (except for one)-- all illustrations are drawn-- which on any real hand it's pretty rare to have the lines neatly and evenly drawn like that of a neatly drawn line colored illustration.

Way more complex than I ever imagined.,

If you are looking for a book to give you simple ideas and formulas for reading palms, this is not the book. Palm reading is way more complicated than I would have ever imagined, and if youre not willing to spend hours and hours of study, this book is not for you. Anyone interested in the basics to use as a sort of party trick, you're probably better off finding something for free on The Google.
