5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent Book
I'm very impressed with this book. It's very easy to read and the information given is just unbelievably accurate for the most part. 3.0 out of 5 stars Decent text
I enjoyed reading this book, it is very much an introductory text. Fairly simplified explanations. Most suitable for beginners to palmistry, intermediate learners will pretty much know everything in here.

5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent Book, August 12, 2004
This review is from: The Palmistry Workbook: A Step-by-Step Guide to the Art of Palm Reading (Divination and Energy Workbooks) (Paperback)
I'm very impressed with this book. It's very easy to read and the information given is just unbelievably accurate for the most part. It also contains some helpful pictures to help readers understand the materials explained. The materials are divided into different sections (i.e a section for thumb, another for fingers, as well as different sections for your life line, health line, fate line, head line, marriage line, etc...). The author did a great job in presenting the material and making it very easy to learn. You will have a lot of fun with this book...I know I did.

5.0 out of 5 stars Quality Book, March 27, 2006

This review is from: The Palmistry Workbook: A Step-by-Step Guide to the Art of Palm Reading (Divination and Energy Workbooks) (Paperback)
After ordering the workbook for runes from the same company, I decided to try their palmistry book. I found this book to be so much easier to use than my other palmistry books. It's broken down into easy to learn sections, with helpful points at the end of the chapters. I was very pleased with the sample readings being done from photo copies, as I have been working a lot with photo copies of my friends' hands. The physical quality of the book is also superior. The pages are thick, vivid, and the cover is thick with flaps on either side that help with place marking. My other palmistry books have been shelved, this one is out and in use.

5.0 out of 5 stars One of the Best books out on Palmistry, July 23, 2005
This review is from: The Palmistry Workbook: A Step-by-Step Guide to the Art of Palm Reading (Divination and Energy Workbooks) (Paperback)
This book is well thought out and explained. The art of palmistry is often complicated to explain, but this book takes the reader through it step by step. In being a palmist myself there is little criticism I can find in this excellent book.

5.0 out of 5 stars Palm Reading Certification, December 23, 2006
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: The Palmistry Workbook: A Step-by-Step Guide to the Art of Palm Reading (Divination and Energy Workbooks) (Paperback)
Being in the IT/Networking field, I have taken a few certification test. This book kinda reminds me of a Sybex cert manual due to the end of chapter questions and review. Everything you need to know about palm reading is here. From the mounts, to the lines (both primary and secondary), to the history of palmistry, to hand shapes...its all here and very detailed. Its almost as if the author intended for this book to be used to train professional palmist or to pass the CompTIA "Palm+ certification".

I bought this book for 3 reason.
1. Learn a fun new skill.
2. Become more interesting (how many people do you know that can read palms?)
3. Meet people (particularly the ladies ; )...you get to hold their hand, tell them about themselves, flirt, and have a great conversation about their favorite topic...THEM!)

Ok ok. The 3rd is the biggest reason why I bought this one : D

The book also is wonderfully laid out. It first goes over the hand shapes which gives you a general sense of the person. Then it goes into the primary lines such as the heart, life, and fate just to name a few. Then comes the secondary lines which interact with the primary lines. Then it goes into particular readings such as if someone were to ask you about obtaining true love...then you would read for love or wealth or longevity. Lastly it gives a few sample readings which are vastly different from each other and gives you a good sense of what to look for.

Not trying to sound racist, but my only complaint is that I wish it would have shown a dark complectioned hand as they are harder to read and had color photographs of the hands so that you can see the tone of skin, which as pointed out in the book to be used as an indicator for current mood or health, which would also very vastly from the color of white skin to dark skin.

If your like me and interest in my 3rd reason for buying this book, then you should also checkout something known as reflexology and learn about pressure points of the hands and other parts of the body. This means you get to naturally move from the hands to touching other parts of the body. The right touching can be a big turn on for most ladies. This book is a hit at parties and people just come up to me and I get to have a conversation with them. Its great!

Get this book. Study for the "Palm+ cert". Impress your friends. Make new friends. And most importantly...have fun!

4.0 out of 5 stars Good Basic Primer, January 19, 2012
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
While not quite as complete as I had hoped, it was a very good walk through guide that covers more than the obvious basics, but falls a bit short of being a complete reference. It is easy to read and understand and laid out in a straightforward logical manner. I was very pleased with the book overall, although the illustrations could certainly be better. If you are new to palmisry, or have only moderate experience I would highly recommend it.
