AWFUL!!!! DO NOT IGNORE THESE BAD REVIEWS!!!!,
This review is from: Palmolive Eco Gel Dishwasher Detergent, Lemon Splash, 45 Ounce (Pack of 3) (Health and Beauty)
Bottom line: Every time I ran the dishwasher with Palmolive Eco, most of the dishes came out with a white residue. I must confess, I was happy to find TONS of online reviews saying the exact same thing, though I am sorry that any of us had to learn about this the hard way. I had just moved into a new home in a new area and I was worried that something was wrong with the new dishwasher or with the water. Now I know what the problem was!!! I just hope I can get this residue off of my dishes. DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT!!!!

Even if it is "eco" considering having to rewash the dishes and trying to rinse off the white crud left all over them I'd say the waste of water isn't "eco" enough to make up for it. Terrible stuff. Don't waste your money or you too will be scraping white nasty stuff off your dishes that aren't even clean even when rinsed before loading.

This stuff left my dished with a white residue and the food that it was supposed to clean off, leaving me with more to wash off by hand. I regret buying it and I hope others don't make the same mistake.

REALLY AWFUL DISHWASHING LIQUID!!!,
This review is from: Palmolive Eco Gel Dishwasher Detergent, Lemon Splash, 45 Ounce (Pack of 3) (Health and Beauty)
This gel leaves behind an awful white residue that is very difficult to get off. I have problems removing the residue from some of my pots even after several hand washes and tons of elbow grease. I have thrown away many Wooden and plastic cooking spoons because thecresidue just won't come off. Makes you wonder how much of that residue might end in your body.

This detergent needs a fair review,
This review is from: Palmolive Eco Gel Dishwasher Detergent, Lemon Splash, 45 Ounce (Pack of 3) (Health and Beauty)
I was honestly very surprise to see the horrible reviews that this detergent has EVERYWHERE online!! I have never had a problem with white film...maybe it's my dishwasher or my water? I even went and ran my hand on the inside of everything before I started this review. What I did notice was the bad reviews were all from people who switched from Cascade or other toxic detergents. Yes, those products clean your dishes better- but at a price. I went through a period of trying every non-toxic and eco friendly detergent on the market, from Seventh Generation to Mrs Meyers to Trader Joe's and more. This is the only one that got my dishes remotely clean. It's actually only partly "eco" as it does still contain bleach and a few other chemicals, otherwise it would have been given a five star review. However, like I said the fully ecological detergents just unfortunately do not work.

Might have ruined my dishwasher,

I am horrified as I've searched the web for the past 1/2 hour and found the most awful reviews of this junk. Yes, junk. I've been using it for about a year now. Thinking that we just had a generic dishwasher I ignored the cloudy film on my glasses. I, also thought that it probably has to do with it not having phosphates. Whatever the reason, my dishwasher now will not wash properly no matter what detergent I put in it. I'm going to try vinegar and baking soda like some have suggested. If it doesn't work, I'll have to replace my dishwasher.

I must be a glutton for punishment, I keep using this crap hoping that the "next" time will be better. White stuff all over my dishes and silverware. Everything is coated in it. I have to rewash by hand because I'm afraid of ingesting this stuff, I don't care how earth-friendly it is, I don't want to eat it.
Terrible product. I'm going to throw it out today and go back to CASCADE liquid, my all time favorite. Maybe CP can steal the recipe from them.

I'm here to echo the complaints of the previous reviewers. I just had a repair man here to look at my dishwasher, thank goodness it's still under warranty so I didn't have to pay for the call. He told me he's had many people complain about Palmolive Eco leaving film on dishes. I didn't believe him - thought he was blaming my detergent rather than repairing the dishwasher. What a shock to find reviews all over the internet from people who'd had the exact same problem. Now to figure out how to get the dishes clean again - if possible. How disappointing.

Doesn't clean worth a darn!!!,

I was disappointed with this immediately. We live on a lake and have a septic drainfield, so I try all the eco-friendly brands of dishwasher detergent, but I always end up with plain ol' Cascade in the end. This one left not only the white residue on my glasses and dishes that everyone else mentioned, but it also left a white crust that I can't scrub off on the inside of my stainless-lined dishwasher. I switched back to Cascade last week, and I'm seeing the crust come off in chunks in places (Thank goodness). The residue wasn't the only thing left behind - my dishes remained dirty after cycling through, causing me to either wash things by hand or run them through again. Nothing was shiny. In fact, my pots and pans looked worse when I took them out than when I put them in. I really wish there was a good eco-friendly detergent out there that was also affordable. This one, while affordable, completely negates its "eco" label with the extra gallons of water one has to use to clean dishes that should have already been cleaned.

The best detergent,

This is the only detergent we've found that rinses clean in our dishwasher while still doing a great job of cleaning the dishes.
