5.0 out of 5 stars Really nice book
This was one of the first books by Danielle Steel I have read. I immediately fell in love with Danielle Steel when I read this book. The only thing I can write there is to recommend it to other readers.

5.0 out of 5 stars Love Story at it's best, December 30, 2003
This review is from: Palomino (Paperback)
A great love story has to have a bit more in it than just the couple falling in love & working to be together. It has to have another element, and that's what the horses are to this book. It's not just the horse ranch, but the passion the characters have for the horses & their determination to use that passion for good. This is one of Steel's classic books, I recommend it, I think you'll enjoy every mintue as I did!

5.0 out of 5 stars I love stories that have ranches in them!, December 28, 2002
This review is from: Palomino (Paperback)
I'm a huge DS fan and I absolutely loved this book it was a heart warming romance what Tate and Sam had was great and it took some separation to make it greater. I also loved the realtionship between Sam and the little boy she adopted she loved him very much and he loved her back just as much great read. All DS fans should read this one and if you are a fan this book will make you a fan.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great story with a message!, December 28, 2006
This review is from: Palomino (Paperback)
Another Danielle Steele hit. As usual she writes a great story with plenty of drama and the story reads great, however, I will leave the reading up to you and would rather discuss her hidden message as I see it. How great of Danielle to use her book as a forum and show the world how even in our worst moments, we can find a way to pull ourselves together and find meaning in our lives by helping those less fortunate. Danielle shows a great way that actually exist to help paralyzed children feel freedom by riding a horse. Very well told and so very true to life. This is a great story and a must read.

5.0 out of 5 stars Giddyup!, August 1, 2005
This review is from: Palomino (Paperback)
ISBN 0440167531 - I'm not a romance fan, and I really expected to "3" this book at best. I find myself happily wrong. The interesting naming patterns - Samantha's old and new loves' initials are exact opposites (J.T. and T.J.); the older couple in California have the surnames of Lord and King - amused me and made me realize that the author's attention to the little details was what made the book well worth reading. The bigger reason I enjoyed the book is that it doesn't just follow the simple recipe for romances - Sam's life goes on before, after and around the love story and spans the width of the entire country. Read the book. At the end, you're going to want a horse - and a boss like Harvey.

4.0 out of 5 stars Gee, Love is great!, March 18, 2002

Danielle Steel, you sure can fool me. I am questioning myself now as whether I read your book or did I see the movie and also read the book. Whatever, I sure loved the story line. Love prevails against all odds--it sure makes a girl think that there still is a chance for her.

Sam was such a high-powered person that Tate thought that he could not please such a high-powered person. He took too long to learn that he had underestimated himself. Have many of us have done the same thing at one time or another. But, as life should move-on, it did for him and he learned that he could, and in fact, had pleased Sam. They eventually lived happily everafter but not until some serious changes took place in Sam's and Tate's life. Sam lost the most of the two. Sometimes life cannot always be explained or sometimes it does not work out the way you or I would have liked for it to be. --Beverly C. Sanders

5.0 out of 5 stars Absolutely fantastic!, June 25, 1998

It never had a dull moment. Sam overcame some very hard obstacles. When everything seemed to go wrong she kept her head up and went on fighting. It is a tearjerker so bring a hanky. If you liked this I think you will like Kaliedoscope by Danielle Steel.

4.0 out of 5 stars One of My Favorite Books Written By Danielle Steel, October 18, 2008
By
This review is from: Palomino (Mass Market Paperback)
This is one of my favorite Danielle Steel novels. Most of the characters in her early books were normal people, not royalty or heiresses, and Samantha Taylor is a wonderfully written character, a regular person who triumphs over all the bad things that happen to her.

I highly recommend this book to other Danielle Steel fans.

I had read this novel before and enjoyed it. Good story line and message with hope. When a relative became paraplegic and faced loss of her dream to ride horses, I gave her this book. Then, I ordered a new copy for myself.

5.0 out of 5 stars Favorite Danielle Steel book, July 13, 2006

I have read several of Ms. Steel's books and they usually have had some heart-wrenchingly sad plot that was upsetting at the end. This book, however, was so uplifting. Even though it was a work of fiction, it made me feel that "Yes!People are out there over-looking their own misery to help others."
This is a book that you will not forget.
