When I first heard Trampled by Turtles' "Wait so long" I instantly knew they deserved further inspection. From foot-stomping bluegrass like on the aforementioned "Wait so Long" to slow ballads like "New Orleans", this album delivers a lot of both and everything in between and all of it is, of course, perfectly arranged musically. This is one of those rare albums that I can listen to from beginning to end multiple times over and never find a song I don't like. Do yourself a favor and check out these guys from Minnesota before the rest of the world does.

I have had a digital copy of this album for roughly a year now and have enjoyed it to huge extent. Truth be told, when I buy a vinyl album, I didn't expect the sound of the vinyl to be much different, but I was happily proven wrong. The acoustic blugrass feel of the album was made richer and fuller on the turntable in a way I never would have anticipated. A good addition to any vinyl collection!

I wore this CD out then I saw them live. These guys are the real deal.

Bloodshot Eyes is one of the catchiest songs on the album. It gets stuck in your head for days.

Every song is good, so it's really hard to say listen to any particular track to get a feel for the band. Sample them all then buy the album. Better yet make it to a show.

I love this CD. If you like blue grass your going to love it. It's hip kind of way makes it wonderful to listen to.

After hearing the first song on this record ,"Wait so long", I fell in love with it and it wasn't very long before I decided to purchase the entire album. This album is a unique blend of traditional bluegrass and modern folk. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a new band to listen to.

My wife and I are huge Trampled fans, ever since our collegiate son gave us an early CD. This one is up to their high standard, another high energy, new bluegrass romp. These guys are from Duluth, Mn? Wow!

If you can have Speed Metal, why not Speed Bluegrass?! Minnesota based Trampled By Turtles belts out a blend of caffeine-induced bluegrass and more traditional acoustic ballads in Palomino. Musicianship here is impressive, and there is a contemporary, edgy handling of the bluegrass platform. Songwriting is both interesting and engaging - the 5th listen is better than the 1st! Palomino is the band's 6th release in 6 years. This stuff is meant to be seen/heard live - check out the band's current tour schedule for a show near you. Through December '10, they will tour the Midwest, New England, the East Coast through GA and back to the Midwest.

I get thrilled when new music comes into my life. Trampled by Turtles' Palomino is one of those recordings that drew my attention instantly. Their speed grass version of "Wait so Long" will blow you away!
