From the Manufacturer

Not all polycarbonates are the same.

Not all polycarbonates are the same. Made with only virgin materials that won’t become brittle or turn colors over time. Polycarbonate is one of the strongest polymers, making it virtually unbreakable and won’t shatter the same as glass. The 4mm Twin panels block up to 99.9% of harmful solar UV radiation, offers over 70% transmission of light to reduce plant burn and twice the heat retention of single layer panels for when the temperature starts to drop.

Spend more time growing than building.

Designed as a do-it-yourself project without the need for special tools. A smart panel slide and lock system connects the frame precisely and quickly into place and polycarbonate panels slide easily into profile channels. Your Nature Mythos greenhouse will be ready to start growing in no time.

A ton of features are included.

Integrated rain gutters disperse rain water that can be collected for a sustainable irrigation system. For added ventilation a roof vent and a magnetic door catch keeps oxygen flowing and lowers temperatures on warm days. The aluminum frame is durable, maintenance free and rust resistant keeping your on focus growing and not maintaining.

Wait there is more.

A 5 year limited warranty and US based customer support give you piece of mind. Palram’s offers a complete line of accessories, designed to make your Mythos greenhouse more productive, save space and more durable against the elements.

Palram sells Rion greenhouses.

The greenhouse is well designed and although it appears flimsy during construction, it is pretty solid once it is put together.

Instructions were ok but a few words here and there rather than just pictures would have been helpful.

I am so glad that I researched all of the greenhouses. Even though they all look similar...they are NOT. The Palram is the better quality greenhouse. It arrived in two boxes. My husband and I put this together over a two day period. The directions are somewhat hard to understand. Like 56 pages. There are pictures but no writing. Like a lot of items we've had to assemble, this one came in tons of pieces, both large and small, and some of the parts were not numbered. No parts were missing. I recommend that you lay everything out and pre read the directions, then re read them at the time of assembly. There is no flooring included, so you will need to figure something out. We got a load of gravel because I knew it would be high humidity and wet due to all the watering of the plants. We assembled the walls on the first day and the roof on the second day. On the very first night of completion, we had a high wind advisory and when we woke up, it had scooted about a foot across the gravel. We had planned on staking it down combined with strapping steel cable over the top, but had no idea we would need it the first night. Since then, we've added custom built benches, have screwed everything down, and staked it down with steel cables. Nice and sturdy now. We have had several high winds since it has been assembled with no problems. We haven't had any hail yet, but the plastic panels are bouncy, as if the hail could bounce right off and not harm them. There is something I did to keep the windows from rattling and possibly coming loose in a thunderstorm. I duct taped the perimeters of each twin wall panel, both inside and outside. Not only does it act as a caulking(waterproofing it), it is also very quiet now. When it pours the rain, the greenhouse does not leak.Read more ›

The greenhouse blew apart within ten days of completion. I built it well. The directions are good. Anchored it well and square. It turned cold and the wind blew in my well sheltered placement at about 30 mph according to the weather report. I suspect the cooefficient of expansion is too great in the panels and they shrink out of the retention grooves when it gets cold. It was about zero degrees in Iron Mountain,MI dated 2/19/13. All verifible. I called Palram and explained 5 panels were damaged and I explained the details. I then asked if they would send me replacements and some small braces and in return I would try to solve the situation and give them the info.. I have done this for companies before. They said they would have to charge me for the parts and that the greenhouse was not warranteed for weather.Caveat Emptator

I had my doubts. I was especially doubtful when it arrived and I saw all the pieces along with an instructional manual with no words, just pictures. Actually, that worked out pretty well. I don't like instruction manuals anyway. My wife and I spent about one full day putting this together. It has a lot of pieces but is well-engineered.

This greenhouse (6X8) is a well-designed, sturdy, attractive piece of work. The door works very well with a latch and a magnet to keep it open or closed. The vent hatch is sweet (gets really hot in the sun). I built two 7' 10" wooden work benches inside to use for my seedling trays. It has rained twice in two days and this unit is tight.

A couple of recommendations (hints) - these are included in the instructions but they bear repeating:

* Don't tighten the bolts until you are done - you will need the slack.
* If something doesn't seem to fit - don't force it. Step back and look more closely - you may find you made a mistake.
* Most of the part numbers are embossed on the pieces but not all. Also note that 996 is also 669 upside down
* If you don't love your partner or lack patience, I do not recommend building this together
* If you have a few pieces left over, I did too. Hopefully they are extras.

I recommend this unit for the price. I am 6'3" and can stand upright in the center of it - better yet, I bought a little wooden stool.

Feb. 2014 - this greenhouse has now withstood several high-wind storms (winds in excess of 50 mph with gusts 70 mph) and four feet of snow this winter! It is amazing. No a problem in any way - delighted with this purchase.

This was a very good purchase with regard to price and quality of the product. The instructions are pictorial only but easy to follow and enlarged details helped to make sure the construction went smoothly. This is a well-engineered item and all the parts went together with little effort if you follow the directions. The most difficult part was keeping the building square as you build. I was able to put it up by myself. Once the ground is prepared, the only tool needed is the one provided. The finished product looks great and appears durable. It has held up to Tucson's strong winds.

I wanted to get a head start on vegetable plants. This was purchased just about 1 year ago, and withstood NE winter. There are lots of parts, but if you take your time, follow the instructions and sometimes use some brain power to figure out a few items, it did not take too long to assemble. I threw whatever seeds I had hanging around into pots in the spring and had about 2 dozen tomato plants from a 2006 seed packet! The ones planted grew to about 5-6 feet! Never had any luck with seeds or purchased tomato plants before.

Still ramping up plans for veggie garden, but greenhouse is still up and functioning. The door latch is not the greatest, must make sure it is in a specific position to keep the door closed during windy spells. One hinge bent a bit when the door was not secured, but was able to gently bend it mostly back into place. I placed this greenhouse just on the ground, no foundation, which is fine for my use.

Otherwise the greenhouse is great, I found a place for all the old plastic shelving and pots that were hanging around and look forward to many more years of use. The gutters actually do direct rain runoff, and collected a lot of water in some buckets, but must find a way to keep pests out of the water buckets first to make this more useful.
