I travel a lot and Like to keep my cats on a leash when I take them along. I have tried other figure 8 harnesses as well as the Lupine cat harness, and this is the BEST one out there. My cat is calm and cool when she has this on, she has never struggled with it at all. She actually destroyed a regular lupine collar in a week so the fact that she is so cooperative in this harness is awesome. I would recommend it to anyone!

Seems well made and strong enough for a small cat - good design but be aware that just because this says "large" doesn't mean it fits big cats.

Frankie, my 18lb 6 toed Tabby was way too big. I ended up getting the small dog version of this harness and he loves it. The dog harness is much heavier duty and much more adjustable than the cat harness - I prefer the extra security of the dog version just in case Frankie gets spooked. If your cat is larger than about 12 lbs I would consider looking at both versions.

Worked fine until cat turned around backwards and just slipped right out of the harness. Not dependable.

Any figure 8 harness is dangerous!

I was trying one of these on my cat, so she could get used to it before we had to go anywhere using it.

She immediately got her back leg caught in the chest strap, while scratching at it and trying to get it off. This tightened the noose around her neck dangerously tight! The more she struggled to get her leg free, the more she choked herself!

Thankfully, I stayed in the room after putting the harness on her, to watch her. I was able to free her within a minute of her entanglement, but she was traumatized by the whole experience and I feel lucky that she was not injured.

If you think about it, any harness of this design is a potential strangle noose. No matter how much slack you leave around the cat's neck, if the chest strap gets caught on anything, the neck strap will tighten.

We've got two cats that love being outside teathered on a rope. We've tried a lot of hasnesses with one problem or another, but this one seems comfortable, and built to last. Some frayed & snapped so easily, or seemed better suited to a dog. We'll buy again from this manufacturer.

I love this harness, easy to put on and off and fits the cats great.

My 14-lb cat did not fit in this at all. I loosened the straps all the way and still could not buckle the straps.
