1.0 out of 5 stars Useless, November 7, 2005

The name of the book should be The Useless Exam Guide.
About 50 multiple-choice questions for each test exam, but there are absolutely no explanations as to why your answer may be wrong. All you get is the correct answer at the end of the book without any explanation as to how _they_ arrived at the correct answer. If you happen to miss a question, all you learn from it is that you were wrong. No details, no clarification, absolutely nothing. You are left in a lurch and your only choice is to search for elucidation elsewhere. Granted, some of the questions are pretty straight forward, but some of the more esoteric ones could use a little clarification. Since you did not choose the correct answer, it seems obvious to me that you need help with that particular topic. If one of your math answers is wrong, then you should get an idea as on how to arrive at the correct one. However, the book is just full of "important" and "useful" information such as: "Never carry an electric motor by its leads" and "A fuse is designed to protect equipment and systems".

Good luck. You better hope you know all there is to know about HVAC and you are only intested in taking several practice tests.
