5.0 out of 5 stars These Two Women are The best!
I have heard many things about these two, but had never heard their cd, now that I have I can truely say that they are really good. I love all of their songs, and I think that they will be on top for a long time. God has annointed them and given them a chemistry, and No NO NO they are not copycats to MARYMARY even though they might have been inspired by them I believe...

Sorry to burst everybody's bubbles, but this album is NOT that great. I swear, if I hear another gospel/urban (ugh!) song with the words "Holla" or "Bounce" in it, I'm gonna flip. The disgraceful attempt by the producers of this album to turn Pam & Dodi into gospels version of 702 is shameful. Pam & Dodi are two excellent vocalists, that part is not the problem, but after...

I love them both. But my favorite right now is Pam And Dodi. I pray that God will continue to open up the windows of heaven and pour them out a Blessing.

5.0 out of 5 stars vocals based cd, July 19, 2002

The debut cd from fly duo pam & dodi is a vocals based gem. they both can sing low and high and the blend their voices so nicely you would think they are made to sing together. They have proven you don't have to show skin to sell records which is something other groups both secular and gospel should learn.

4.0 out of 5 stars Great debut, September 24, 2002
This review is from: Pam & Dodi (Audio CD)
These young women have started out strong. The songs range from upbeat urban to more tradtional gospel tunes. That will appeal to almost any age group. I found it refreshing to her these young ladies.

5.0 out of 5 stars Pam & Dodi!, August 14, 2002

This is a solid album on all fronts. Pam & Dodi sing about the ups and downs of young men (like myself) and women while counting their blessings. They address day to day issues that few, if any other gospel artists are willing to touch. Their music encourages and uplifts also. From the opening track the mid-tempo gem "Don't Have To" to the praiseful song "I Appreciate You" this album has it all. They also address abusive relationships on "It's Over Now" and offer sound advice to young women who find themselves in such positions. But they also celebrate relationships on the song "Nobody" with special guests K-ci & JoJO. The standout track on the album is "What' Wrong". Pam & Dodi sing from God's perspective for us to cast all our cares on him cause he cares for us. They plea in back in forth fashion for us to bring all our troubles to him. I can't stop listening. Although they have been Unfairly labeled MaryMary wannabe's, Pam & Dodi have their Own Style! If they have anyone else style it would be the Clark sisters or they are a combo or Karen Clark Sheard/Dorinda Clark Cole/Lisa Page--Pam....Tramine Hawkins......Dodi. They have potential and its only a matter of time before they "Arrive"

I don't think debut album's get any better than this. They are very talented and this is a must have cd for your collection. I like all the songs on here but the stand out tracks are What's Wrong, Forgive Me, Don't Have To, & Nobody (Duet with k-ci & JoJo)

I just listened to the Pam & Dodi CD again....I really love it and have not been able to take it out of my cd player...the tracks are hot, their vocals are crazy, and listening to it gets me ready for whatever the day brings. The songs "Don't Have To", "What's Wrong," "For Me, For You," "Gotta Give it Up" and "Forgive Me" are my favorites. I would definately recommend it!!!!!

Pam & Dodi are two excellent vocalists, that part is not the problem, but after listening to the album it just sounds like the producers/writers just threw some of these songs together without any kind of inspiration whatsoever. Just listen to the song called "Bounce". What the heck is that. Using a way out-dated slang term as the title of a song could not have been Pam & Dodi's idea, and if it was then they need prayer.

While the R&B sound that they have isn't all bad, I just think it was too much of a predictable album, but then again, when new artists get signed to a big label and they put out their 1st project, it's very rare for them to have any say-so in how the project should be done. So they become the producer's puppet or pawn if you will. Ask Stevie Wonder to tell you of his days in Motown. You did it Berry Gordy's way or you hit the highway. Maybe in gospel it's different, but I don't know.

The good side of this album, though small, was very entertaining and uplifting. K-Ci & JoJo make an appearance on "Nobody", delivering their usual powerhouse vocals that catapulted them to stardom. J. Moss makes an appearance and helps the girls sing back-up on "There All The Time", the best song on the album hands down. Other notable tracks are "For Me, For You", and "What's Wrong". One song that really ministers to the soul is "It's Over Now", where one of the girls asks "how can you kiss the lips that call you out your name?" That is sure to speak to someone's situation.

I hope they try something different for the next album, which I would still look forward to because these girls can sing. But the generic R&B soundalike stuff just doesn't peak my interest. Been there, heard that! God Bless!

5.0 out of 5 stars Pam & Dodi forever, January 6, 2007
This review is from: Pam & Dodi (Audio CD)
(A great CD, I wonder where they are now. But each song is inspirational and focuses on real life issues within a spiritual context. "Don't Have To", the title track focus on how you don't have to dwell on the sorrows in life. The majority of the themes in the CD is uplifting and has a great beat to bounce with. It's 2007 and I have 13-16yr olds that still bounce to it. Now that's saying something.)
