Important Information

Safety Warning
Keep away from any source of flame. Pampers Diapers like almost any article of clothing will burn if exposed to flame. To avoid risk of choking on plastic padding or other materials do not allow your child to tear the diaper. Discard any torn or unsealed diaper or any loose pieces of the diaper. To avoid suffocation keep all plastic bags away from babies and children. If you notice gel-like material on your baby's skin don't be alarmed. This comes from the diaper padding and can be easily removed by wiping your baby's skin with a soft dry cloth.

Ingredients
Pampers Baby Dry contain these mild ingredients which are gentle to the skin: Petrolatum Stearyl Alcohol Aloe Barbadensis Leaf Extract.

FAQ

How many diapers will I change a day?

In the first couple of months, you may find yourself changing diapers up to 10 times in 24 hours. Diapers should be changed whenever they are wet or soiled. Your baby will often (but not always) let you know. With a super-absorbent diaper like Pampers diapers, you can tell if it's wet by feeling for lumps in the absorbent material. Here are some common times for changing diapers:

  • Right before or right after every feeding
  • After every bowel movement
  • Before bedtime
  • When your baby wakes up
  • When you go out with your baby
Is there anything special I need to know about changing a diaper?

Pampers Diapers are designed to adjust to your baby's shape for a snug, comfortable fit. While changing diapers there's no need to fold the waistband in or out or to adjust the leg cuffs.

  • Place tabs parallel to the waistband and centered on the character strip.
  • Use the characters as guides to ensure the fasteners are evenly spaced.
  • Keep baby products such as powder away from the fasteners so they maintain their stickiness.
What size diaper is right for my baby?

Just like you, babies like to wear things that fit just right. Choose a size that does not sag or gap, even as your baby crawls and plays. This will help prevent leaks. Each product description on this site gives guidelines that represent the average weight for a particular size. And remember, when you move up a size, you gain absorbency.

What’s the best method to weigh my baby?

The easiest way to weigh your baby is to first hop on the scale yourself. See how much you weigh, then see how much you weigh when you hold your baby. If you subtract your weight, you'll know how much your baby weighs.

Is there any safety information I need to know about diapers?

You buy the latest toys and babies wind up playing with silly things - like diapers. It's important to keep diapers where they should be, on your baby's bottom. Don't let your baby put the diaper in her mouth. Discard any diaper that has become torn or unsealed, and read the warning label on all bags.

How do diapers absorb all that moisture?

AGM is the absorbent gelling material widely used in diaper padding to absorb wetness. It is perfectly normal to see some gel on the skin from time to time, especially if the diaper is heavily saturated. It can easily be removed by wiping your baby's skin.

This material has a long history of safe use in a variety of products and has been in diapers for more than a decade. Absorbent gelling material is closely related to ingredients widely used in cosmetics and in food processing.

Do unused diapers needs to be stored anywhere special?

Store your diapers in an area protected from extreme heat and humidity and away from products with fragrances. We recommend the diaper be kept in a dry storage area where the temperature is 85 degrees or less.

4.0 out of 5 stars Good diaper on the right baby March 6, 2013
Unit Count:276|Size Name:1
There's a lot of mixed reviews...I just want to start by saying each diaper is going to work differently on each baby! They're not all shaped the same, they don't all go to the bathroom the same. It takes patience to find the right diaper for your baby. Just because my friend prefers swaddlers doesn't mean I do too. The Pampers Baby Dry is a good fit for my child. She's pretty small and long. I've noticed my friends with fuller, thicker babies don't have as much good luck. But for me, this is a great, thin, super-absorbant diaper that works well. The price is a great value as well.

Be aware though, no diaper will elimnate diaper rash! Despite how absorbant your diaper choice is, your baby will still at some point have diaper rash. My best luck has been butt paste diaper cream (All Natural Boudreaux's Butt Paste + FREE Baby Ganics Thick N' Kleen (Fragrance Free) Baby Wipes) because it seals up the sensitive skin and I can still re-diaper my girl right away without a lot of fuss. With diaper rash and rash cream, make sure the diaper doesn't rub anywhere to hard and that they've got some flexibility. The Baby Dry leaves plenty of room for my baby.

5.0 out of 5 stars Best diaper on the market for the past decade! March 17, 2009
By Luzu
Amazon Verified Purchase
I am a stay at home Mom with 4 children. I have been buying diapers for the past almost 11 years and Pampers Baby Dry is hands down the best diaper on the market, and believe me I have tried them all! All of my kids have been "super soakers" when it comes to pee. These diapers way out perform any other brand including major brands and department store brands. The major selling points for me are:
1. They are thin, easy to pack 5 in a diaper bag.
2. Easy to unfold with one hand (if you, like me frequently have to use the other hand to keep baby still)
3. tabs are easily opened without extra unfolding and don't rip off like several other brands.
4. Doesn't leave residue on baby or smell like pee when really soaked.
5. wider in the front to prevent baby from peeing out the side (and my kids are experts at this)

One thing that may be helpful is to remember that Pampers fit better on children that are long and skinny. If your baby is short and really chubby in the bottom, then Huggies will fit your baby better. This, I believe, explains the few complaints about Pampers not fitting or leaking.

Hope this review was helpful!

1.0 out of 5 stars Pampers Swaddlers are MUCH BETTER! September 23, 2009
Amazon Verified Purchase
I made the huge mistake of buying the baby dry after reading through the reviews. I thought that for the price, why not try them. What a huge mistake! I should have just bought a smaller amount to try them first. Instead we have been using these for over a month now and I have had to clean up a poop spill at least every other day. My baby was 4 months old when we started using these and since she is not eating solids yet, the poop is pretty runny. The baby dry don't absorb the runny poop and it tends to just go right up the back side of the diaper onto her outfit and usually whatever or whoever she is lying on. It's just not worth the money saved! I will only buy the Swaddlers from now on. Hope this helps someone wondering which to buy Swaddlers or Baby Dry, DEFINITELY go with the SWADDLERS!!

5.0 out of 5 stars Better than Swaddlers May 14, 2007
Unit Count:160| Size Name:4|Amazon Verified Purchase
I used the Pampers Swaddlers up until 6 months or so, but all of the sudden I started getting regular leaks. I've had very, very few since I switched. I tried Huggies at the beginning and they were terrible. My daughter is long waisted and on the thin side, so that may account for the discrepancy, but that's my take.

This diaper is very thin but it absorbs really well. It beats Huggies and Costco brand. My son's diaper rash is gone after using this.

5.0 out of 5 stars Best diaper I've tried October 18, 2006
Unit Count:180|Size Name:3
I love these improved baby-dry diapers. The old version had only one problem - the unadjustable waist. Now they have fixed it and they feel very similar to the more expensive Cruisers! Perfect for my baby, never a leak. Byebye Huggies!

5.0 out of 5 stars Pampers pampers my baby September 21, 2006
By K. Pen
Unit Count:160| Size Name:4|Amazon Verified Purchase
Compared to Huggies, Pampers are not as bulky. My son leaked only once and that was bc I didn't put it on snuggly. Also, Pampers brand smells nicer than Huggies. Thank goodness something down there does!!
