Ok, but not great,

This review is from: Pampers Easy Ups Boys Size 3T-4T Diapers Big Pack 60 Count (Health and Beauty)
I bought these because my son wanted the Diego design and Pampers are a good brand. I had purchased Huggies prior to this and liked them, but didn't think there'd be much of a difference. I was wrong. Huggies Pull-Ups have the "Easy Open Sides" and that is very convenient. It's so frustrating to have to take off shoes & pants when needing a new pair in a public bathroom.
The other thing is that the color change symbols are so light that there's no incentive to keep it there like on the Pull-Ups... he can't see them. He has trouble pulling up both types, but did better with the Pull-Ups. I've never had either type rip when pulling them up myself or having him do it as mentioned by others. I also like that the Pull-Ups have a cool feel as an indicator to him that he's had a bit of a leak and instigates him to use the potty. The Easy Ups don't have anything like that and we have not had any progression toward better potty training. It doesn't bother him to be wet while in the Easy Ups :-( I've also found that they are much more likely to leak at night than the other brand. Size has not been a factor with either brand. I find that I have to edge toward a smaller size since my son is tall and thin, but I have to do that with all brands of diaper/training pants. I just go by the weight measurement instead of the size number and have had good results. I really like Pampers Swaddlers for my infant and have really great results, but the Easy Ups just don't measure up to Pampers' usual high standards. I'm going back to the other brand. Hope this helps the other moms out there.

This review is from: Pampers Easy Ups for Boys, Size 5, 80 Count (Health and Beauty)
I bought these through Amazon Mom for a great price, however there are a few things I wish I had known before making the purchase.
First, these run very small. I ordered size 5, and they fit much smaller than a size 5 diaper. My son can wear them, but I have to adjust them because every once in a while one of his cheeks pops out! He is currently wearing size 2T pants, if that's any help as to size. Second, These are NOT resealable like the other brand. Once you open them at the sides, that's it. This may or may not be a deal breaker for you, but I thought it was a big distinction. Otherwise they work as they should and are definitely being sold at a great price.

Tears easily - will not stand being pulled up and down,
This review is from: Pampers Easy Ups Trainers for Boys (Health and Beauty)
We were loyal to Pampers Diapers, but Pampers Easy Up are not very good. The Pampers Easy Ups have no velcro sides (so you must wrap each "accident" in a plastic bag, and the soiled training pants are harder to remove without making a mess), and Pampers Easy Ups are very flimsy on the sides and tear easily, so even if your child has no accidents, he still will need several Easy Ups throughout the day, since they will keep tearing and falling off, with just the gentle motion of your child pulling them down and up to use the bathroom.
Huggies Pull Ups are the disposable training pants that you want. The "velcro" on the sides is useful for changing accidents. The pants also don't rip after a day of being pulled up and down. Buy the Huggies Pull Ups and each one will last all day.

We had Pull Ups 1st, and then we tried these Easy Ups. While the Pull Ups have the velcro sides, I found them not really necessary, as the Easy Ups tear easily at he side if you need to anyway, but not too easily like the Pull Ups. The Pull Ups sometimes came apart at the sides when I did not want them to--esp. when pulling up and down. And the Easy Ups are more absorbent, which was also more important for us. The Pampers Easy Ups are also softer.

What can I say? I have a 3 1/2 year old who WON'T go on the potty. I use both Pull-Ups and Easy Ups. I typically use Huggies because of the pull apart sides. It makes it easier to contain messes. However, Pampers are much more absorbent. My son will leak through Huggies at night. I know, they make a overnight pull-up, but not in his size. Even when he did fit in them, they weren't very good. he would still leak through them. Pampers, he hasn't had a problem with leaks at night. Yes, the with the sides it can be hard to contain messes, but I just wrap it in a plastic bag Munchkin Arm and Hammer Bag Refill.

This review is from: Pampers Easy Ups Trainers for Boys Value Pack, Size 2T/3T, 108 Count (Health and Beauty)
We ordered this for our son who 25 mos old. The item says 2T/3T and I thought it'd be the right size for our son. The diapers arrived and we started using them. After a couple of days we realised that the diapers a bit too tight for our son. After looking at the diaper more closely we saw that it was a size 4 diaper and obviously was too small for our son. It'd be easier if the actual size was written on the box instead of a vague 2T/3T. Since we cannot use this size we'll have to order another box for him. $$$s wasted :(

I bought this training pants a week ago, i made a big mistake because it is so small for my 26months old kid although this size is for 2T-3T, it is really misleading to Mums. pls take note of this.

For this mom, the Easy-ups when for now, but we use Huggies overnights over Pampers because Huggies is the victor of the overnight diaper battle.
My son will not be using these when we phase into serious potty-training but this a great option for moms who are frustrated by their child's easy ability to take off the diaper and keep going, even for naps. But my son has been untabbing and throwing off his diapers for over a year now and he is not quite 2, now, so this is annoying and frustating; he,even would do this to his Huggies Pull-ups every so often. He never removes the Pampers and for the fact that they are like real big boy underwear, with this feature, I am grateful, and soon he will be transitioning to nylon and vinyl and big boy underwear and training pants and so we'll see how it all goes. But the pros are this box of 88 diapers was purchased by at the time on subscribe and save, with an additional 30% off for being a member of Amazon Mom. the size I got was in diaper size 4 and it fist my son with room to spare and his usually around a size for 4 or for overnights 5. He is rather skinny for his size but again, in Huggies, their smallest Pullups were often far too big in the back for him and pee often seeped through if my husband or I did not use the tabs to readjust them and as soon as my son noticed that, he knew he could take them off at any given time!!! He is like Houdini and can remove a diaper without even taking off his shorts by pulling them off and through 1 leg of his shorts or jumper! I also as stated above love the fact that these tear open at the sides but do not tabs so your child cannot remove them. And last but not least, they are actually more absorbent than I had at first realized and that is a huge plus in my book. bonus, my son loves Diego also so that was perfect. the only con is that they are now apparently not available for subscribe and save so after my box of size 4 88 count are

Best So Far,

We have tried several different brands and kinds of training pants. We only use them for night time, because our little guy sleeps 12 or more hours each night and we like the extra "assrance" we won't be changing the sheets every morning. These are by far the softest, and most underwear-like we have used. They seem so much more comfortable than the others that have a rough, paper feel. We are not using them all day, so the fact that they don't have velcro sides is not a concern to us - it actually seems to have helped because they are for "big boys" and seems like he feels less like a baby in diapers. The motion of having him lay down and going through the process just like a diaper seemed to defeat the purpose of potty training. In the morning, he checks to see if the designs are still there in front and takes off his Easy-Ups then puts on his underwear. We will continue to order these until we don't need them anymore. Our little guy just turned three and 2 1/2 seemed like the best time to start potty training because he seemed to WANT to do it.

I've been using the Huggies pull ups for a while and they worked well, but I always found them a bit stiff and scratchy. I put off trying the Pampers because they don't have the closures on the sides. I decided to try them because other reviews mentioned how soft they are, and they really are! They seem like they are much more comfortable than the Huggies, and I haven't missed the side closures. My son is about 37 pounds and the 4T/5T fit him well. We even use them at night and haven't had any leaks.
