I wish they had easy open/close sides like the Pull Ups do, though. Rachel M  |  32 reviewers made a similar statement

3.0 out of 5 stars Ok, but not great November 30, 2010
By Lady E
Unit Count:60|Size Name:Size 5 S3T/4T
I bought these because my son wanted the Diego design and Pampers are a good brand. I had purchased Huggies prior to this and liked them, but didn't think there'd be much of a difference. I was wrong. Huggies Pull-Ups have the "Easy Open Sides" and that is very convenient. It's so frustrating to have to take off shoes & pants when needing a new pair in a public bathroom.

The other thing is that the color change symbols are so light that there's no incentive to keep it there like on the Pull-Ups... he can't see them. He has trouble pulling up both types, but did better with the Pull-Ups. I've never had either type rip when pulling them up myself or having him do it as mentioned by others.

I also like that the Pull-Ups have a cool feel as an indicator to him that he's had a bit of a leak and instigates him to use the potty. The Easy Ups don't have anything like that and we have not had any progression toward better potty training. It doesn't bother him to be wet while in the Easy Ups :-( I've also found that they are much more likely to leak at night than the other brand.

Size has not been a factor with either brand. I find that I have to edge toward a smaller size since my son is tall and thin, but I have to do that with all brands of diaper/training pants. I just go by the weight measurement instead of the size number and have had good results.

I really like Pampers Swaddlers for my infant and have really great results, but the Easy Ups just don't measure up to Pampers' usual high standards. I'm going back to the other brand. Hope this helps the other moms out there.

3.0 out of 5 stars Good but not great... October 25, 2010
Unit Count:80| Size Name:5|Amazon Verified Purchase
I bought these through Amazon Mom for a great price, however there are a few things I wish I had known before making the purchase.

First, these run very small. I ordered size 5, and they fit much smaller than a size 5 diaper. My son can wear them, but I have to adjust them because every once in a while one of his cheeks pops out! He is currently wearing size 2T pants, if that's any help as to size.

Second, These are NOT resealable like the other brand. Once you open them at the sides, that's it. This may or may not be a deal breaker for you, but I thought it was a big distinction.

Otherwise they work as they should and are definitely being sold at a great price.

5.0 out of 5 stars Better than Huggies May 6, 2010
Amazon Verified Purchase
What can I say? I have a 3 1/2 year old who WON'T go on the potty. I use both Pull-Ups and Easy Ups. I typically use Huggies because of the pull apart sides. It makes it easier to contain messes. However, Pampers are much more absorbent. My son will leak through Huggies at night. I know, they make a overnight pull-up, but not in his size. Even when he did fit in them, they weren't very good. he would still leak through them. Pampers, he hasn't had a problem with leaks at night. Yes, the with the sides it can be hard to contain messes, but I just wrap it in a plastic bag Munchkin Arm and Hammer Bag Refill.

1.0 out of 5 stars Tears easily - will not stand being pulled up and down February 3, 2009
We were loyal to Pampers Diapers, but Pampers Easy Up are not very good. The Pampers Easy Ups have no velcro sides (so you must wrap each "accident" in a plastic bag, and the soiled training pants are harder to remove without making a mess), and Pampers Easy Ups are very flimsy on the sides and tear easily, so even if your child has no accidents, he still will need several Easy Ups throughout the day, since they will keep tearing and falling off, with just the gentle motion of your child pulling them down and up to use the bathroom.

Huggies Pull Ups are the disposable training pants that you want. The "velcro" on the sides is useful for changing accidents. The pants also don't rip after a day of being pulled up and down. Buy the Huggies Pull Ups and each one will last all day.

5.0 out of 5 stars I'm a convert! bye bye pull ups! January 2, 2012
By busymom
Unit Count:60|Size Name:6
After being a loyal huggies/pull ups mom with 3 kids, I bought Pull ups when it was time to potty train my 4th. Not sure what changes have been made to the product but they were terrible. Absorbing nothing and leaking everywhere! In frustration, I picked up some Pampers Easy Ups to try. Out of the package, I noticed right away that they are much softer than pull ups. Put one on my son and sent him off. No leaks! As for the tear away sides on the pull ups, I do like that feature and it would be nice to add them to the Easy Ups but, I really don't miss it. The sides of the Easy Ups tear very easily when necessary. So it hasn't been an issue. In fact, my son knew how to open the pull ups and it drove me nuts that it was so easy for him to do that! My favorite thing about these is that they are absorbent enough for over night use. I had been using the Pull Ups overnight and my son woke up wet every morning. I was skeptical about these but have been so happy each morning when I don't have to wash the sheets again! The only thing I would change is the powdery smell. These are for "big" kids so I think the baby smell should stay with the traditional diaper. Smell or not, we are sticking with them!

5.0 out of 5 stars Early Potty Training August 16, 2012
Unit Count:90|Size Name:5
In my house we have 5 kids, and one more coming. The last four came in a five year period, and this next one will be within 6.5 years. This has highly motivated me to get the "baby" out of diapers early. So we potty train around 12 months, and are day time finished (they can tell me and take themselves, except for wiping) before 19m. I have not had two in diapers in the daytime ever. This is the primary reason I choose Easy Ups over Pull Ups, they are more conducive to small, early starters.

1: they fit my smallest kids (I have a few very small/thin kids) and since these run fairly small, they fit. Pull Ups doesn't make anything that fits a 12month old.

2: because the sides can't open, my smallest kids can handle them roughly as they learn to pull them up.

3: they don't leak overnight or at naptime (the time I rely on them the most; typically in the daytime they are in underpants not easy ups.)

Some people have mentioned the annoyance of not having tabs, and therefore having to take shoes and pants off when they go out and have an accident. The age kids that I have been training typically need you to take pants and shoes off for sitting on the potty anyway, since their legs are so short, they need to spread them farther apart (especially boys!) to be sure that everything makes it into the potty. Also, kids this age seem to think that pants HAVE to come off to use the potty, so I end up taking everything off each time anyway. The easiest way around this is to train in the summer, and wear a wide leg short, or a skirt for girls. In the winter, I haven't found any good way around it for boys, but girls can still wear a skirt, with leg warmers.

5.0 out of 5 stars Cheaper than buying at the store.
Even with the shipping and handling, these were cheaper than what I paid for any pull-ups at the store. They arrived on time, fit my son great, and held in what he put out. :)

I will never order these pull ups again. They are awful. When I pull them up, they rip, the leak through the night. Just awful. Really disappointed.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great diapers
Very good diapers. The pull-ups help me to train my son with the potty training. They hold up very well to everything he dishes out. Rarely, if ever leak.
