5.0 out of 5 stars Nice Wipes!
I really do like these wipes. They are thicker and stronger than all other Pampers wipes and they don't leave a cotton residue like Huggies wipes. I can clean up a really messy diaper using 2 wipes which is pretty good for me! My only compliant is they don't come in a non-scented option. I will continue to buy them, but would be thrilled if they made an unscented...

3.0 out of 5 stars I like the wipe but not good for Newborns
I love Pampers wipes and have used them on my first daughter so with baby #2 on the way I decided to try these newer wipes. I like the wipe although they aren't much different from the regular ones. However, after a few days of using my newborn developed a rash. I had to switch to unscented wipes. These wipes have a very strong scent which I liked until I realized they...

I love Pampers wipes and have used them on my first daughter so with baby #2 on the way I decided to try these newer wipes. I like the wipe although they aren't much different from the regular ones. However, after a few days of using my newborn developed a rash. I had to switch to unscented wipes. These wipes have a very strong scent which I liked until I realized they were irritating my baby's skin. She can now use regular wipes but I still have avoided these (why chance it?). We used them for us...in the bathroom, to remove makeup, to clean my older daughter's hands, etc. and they are excellent just be warned that they might irritate newborn skin.

Best wipes I,ve ever used. No rolling up into little balls. Just a clean wipe and that's it.

4.0 out of 5 stars Not Sure They Are Thicker, June 5, 2009

I mainly use Huggies wipes but I purchased these on sale. They certainly are strong and do a good job but frankly they do not feel any thicker or stronger than a normal wipe.

3.0 out of 5 stars Not Worth The Extra Money, April 15, 2009
This review is from: Pampers Swipers Baby Wipes, 60 Wipes in One-touch Tub (Pack of 8) (Baby Product)
I'm an adult and I use baby wipes. Why? Because no one wants a nasty butt. Believe me, try using baby wipes in addition to your regular toilet paper. You'll never go back to just toilet paper alone.

Anyways, on to the product review.

First, the packaging: There's the "pull up" tissue-box-type lid that snaps down, but it's impossible to close the lid with one hand and even when you do part of the wipe that's ready to be used next time is always sticking out.

Because part of that wipe is sticking out it acts as a wick so all the cleansing moisture from half or more that wipe dries out, depending on how long it is between when you use the wipes, which results in one wasted wipe. This means you have to pull that one out and throw it away then pull out another one to get the full effectiveness of a damp wipe, which means you only get half the use out of a pack of wipes.

Alternatively, you could open the top of the box, but that requires two hands, and then also you have to stick one hand into the box to hold down the wipe the wipe you're pulling out is attached to, which is unsanitary.

Maybe it's because I'm a guy but I find the packaging to be frustrating and counter-intuitive.

Next, the wipes themselves:

They don't seem to be any thicker or larger than the less expensive regular wipes. Twenty percent thicker? HOLY CRAP! What's twenty percent of one millimeter? That's .2 of a millimeter. That's the thickness of a layer of frost on your car windshield. So instead of 1 millimeter thick material you're getting 1.2 millimeter material. Is that worth a buck fifty to you?
