We followed all of the directions on the box (including the 6 oz. of water to prevent hotspots). We set the roaster oven to 325F. (The bags say they are good until 400F or 20degrees below maximum for the roaster. Oven roaster max was 450F.) By the time the roaster preheated, the bag was melting in big holes on the sides (not at the edge where it touched the lid etc). So we immediately pulled the remainder of the bag out and began melted plastic removal. Needless to say this delayed our turkey preparation and increased our clean up time rather than saving it.

I have used these roaster ovens for years. If this product did what it said, I think it would be a great investment. Since it doesn't, I won't be buying more.

I did try to call the company before posting this review. I had to leave a message and no one has called me back yet.

I have a potato casserole recipe that I love to make, but had decided not to make it because clean up of the large roasters had become such a chore. These bags worked perfectly and are more than worth their cost. I will never use my roaster again without one of these.

For a large party I needed to make 25 lbs of pulled pork. My recipe calls for simmering the pork in root beer for 24 hours, and I DREAD clean up after that...stickiness everywhere! AND, because I didn't leave myself enough time, I had to drain the pork, pull the pork and add the sauce FAST!

The Pan Savers not only kept the sticky sugary root beer off the inside of my roaster, but it made lifting all the roast out, draining all the fat and left over root beer syrup, and returning the pulled pork to a newly washed(with a soapy sponge and a rinse...NO SCRUBBING) and lined roaster. The bags were tough enough to use forks to pull the pork in!

I will never use my roaster without these bags again!
