BTW the top dimensions were no where near the advertised 72", more like 68".

There were some minor scratches and dings, but not enough to send it back.

The finished version looks great and it was easy enough for one person to assemble. The major problem was that the seller was misleading in the dimensions. My wife ordered the unit believing the outside dimensions were 72" at the base. We needed a unit at least 56" at the base to clear the pavers on our walkway. When I assembled the unit, the lower dimensions were only 46" (48 of you discount the anchoring rings) and it necessitated me drilling into the pavers to lag the unit to the walkway, something we had hoped to avoid. BTW the top dimensions were no where near the advertised 72", more like 68".

Well, it's somewhat sturdily built, but it's not perfect. And yes, as others here have pointed out the packaging is not adequate.

Ours arrived with a few holes punched in the box, and a couple of torn edges. Inside, the two main vertical side panels are up against the interior of the box. All of the various other parts are cable-tied into place. In our box, every one of the cable ties was broken, and the rails and arches were rattling around. There were some minor scratches and dings, but not enough to send it back. Some of the parts are in plastic bags/sleeves to reduce rubbing. It seems like a little additional cardboard around the edges and a better grade of cable ties would solve the packaging problem.

The arbor itself is well painted, and the parts align well, but there are some problems that lead me to give it fewer stars. Here's the pros and cons:

PROS;
- Finish color is consistent and pretty complete.
- It's pretty clear how to put it together.
- Nice look.

CONS:
- The hardware is not great. The socket head caps screws and nut are all painted, and that makes them difficult screw together when assembling (Fix: Screw and unscrew each bolt and nut before assembly to get the extra paint off; it'll make it easier to get them to engage.) Also, the socket heads are shallow, so be careful the allen wrenches provided are fully seated, or you'll strip the heads.
- The holes in the rails are somewhat oversized, which makes the shoulders on the bolts nuts pretty useless for getting the parts aligned. You need to wriggle/shift them on place to get the bolt/nut lined up when you're assembling the vertical sections to the arches. That made the assembly of the vertical sections to the arches pretty annoying.

Requires at least two people and vise grips to assemble. Even then, it takes way longer than the 20 minutes they claim to assemble. The "tolerances" as my engineer husband terms it are pretty lax - things don't line up.

The black metal got hot enough to burn a line on my skin when I briefly touched it, so I worry about tender plants.

It does, however, look nice once assembled.

Shipped quickly, went together in a snap. I did do extra anchoring as suggested by another reviewer, but that was simple as well.
