Lemurs in Panama since 1974,
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: Panama (World Road Trips) (Kindle Edition)
Yes, lemurs are not indigeneous to Panama but we purchased this book anyway. We took it on a recent trip to Panama and found it to be more helpful than a mass produced travel guide. My wife is an English Professor and only found a few typographical errors which she felt were offset by the content and accuracy of the book. Our photos from the vacation verify that there are indeed Ring Tailed Lemurs in Panama as well as monkeys, jaguars, a frog lemur, and other species you would not expect. This guide is a great overview of the politics, history and insight into Panama. It lets the user decide what is a must see and must do.

Lemurs in Panama??,
By

I think the author needs to check her facts. In at least two parts of the book, she references seeing ring-tailed lemurs. Hard to believe since lemurs are only found on Madagascar. She even had a photo of one, which appeared to be a stock photo. And the writing is atrocious. There are countless grammatical and spelling mistakes. She refers to the drinking water of Panama City as "portable" rather than potable. I cringed every other page. And the flow of her story is all over the place. I will definitely not be reading another of her books. It is too bad I did not preview some of her work. It's shameless.
