Just took one off my bike after 1 1/2 years and not terribly many miles. Noticed splitting in the sidewall, parallel to the outer casing threads. Looked more severe than I wanted to trust for continued riding. When I got them off, I shined a bright light through the gum sidewall to further examine the splits. Saw some rather ominous bright spots, i.e. places where the splits seem pretty deep. I don't think I have ever done anything stupid or abusive to these tires and haven't ridden them really heavily loaded or underinflated.

Brought this problem to attn of Panaracer via their web site contact form. After I sent photos, they replied that this was a known issue that occurred because some tires did not get complete curing during molding. They are sending replacements. Upgrading my rating to neutral, because Panaracer appears to recognize the problem and at least is trying to investigate and prevent it.

Tires have always ridden well for my purposes. Like the fact that they are actually 35mm wide. Some other brands marked 700x35 are not even close to 35mm wide.
