If you are not familiar with the SD cards, you should know that the panasonic was the company that first started this flash memory industry. They are the best and most reliable SD cards you can ever find. They have a bit expensivier price compared to other major producing companies (Sandisk, Toshiba, etc) but its well worth it. 3.0 out of 5 stars Compatibility problem
After reading how good this sd card is I find it doesn't work with my Pentax Optio. I find out the high speed card is not compatible with my Optio S5i. I would like information that would include what products it can work with or how to tell if it's right before purchase. Anyway I'll have to see what other electronics will accept the panasonic sd card since it's not...

This review is from: Panasonic 256MB SD Memory Card with up to 10MB/s (up to 66x) writing speed (Personal Computers)
If you are not familiar with the SD cards, you should know that the panasonic was the company that first started this flash memory industry. They are the best and most reliable SD cards you can ever find. They have a bit expensivier price compared to other major producing companies (Sandisk, Toshiba, etc) but its well worth it. I have Tungsten T3 PDA and when I ran a memory speed test on all the SD cards I had owned (Kingston, Panasonic, Sandisk, etc) Panasonic was a LOT faster than any one of them + more stable. If you want really good SD card you can use over and over, buy Panasonic. If you have a lot of time on your hand with small budget, I recommend Lexar or Kingston SD cards (I have good experiences with them both). The quality of panasonic SD cards is unquestionable. Its only the price that changes few peoples mind..........

5.0 out of 5 stars How many pictures will it store?, November 5, 2004
This review is from: Panasonic 256MB SD Memory Card with up to 10MB/s (up to 66x) writing speed (Personal Computers)
How many pictures will it store? It is the most commonly asked question from digital camera enthusiast but usually the question that is the most difficult to get a straight answer about. Well, considering I worked in the memory industry for over 7 years I can help clarify this perplexing question and do so unbiased as I have since changed industries.

The Panasonic 256MB High Speed SD Memory Card, like most 256MB cards, will store on average 284 pictures when used with a 2 megapixel camera, 213 images when used with a 3 megapixel camera, 128 pictures when used with a 4 megapixel camera, 102 images when used with a 5 megapixel camera, and 80 pictures when used with a 6 megapixel camera. These numbers are based off the assumption that you are going to shoot your images at the highest quality JPEG setting available for the camera and understand that they are estimates and may be off by as much as 10 percent due to numerous factors including the complexity of the scene being shot and the compression algorithm used by your specific camera.

I truly hope this review was helpful to you in determining whether this card is the right capacity for your specific needs.

5.0 out of 5 stars Best SD Card, August 7, 2004
This review is from: Panasonic 256MB SD Memory Card with up to 10MB/s (up to 66x) writing speed (Personal Computers)
This little card writes at blazing speeds. I transfered 240MB of Music from my computer in a little over a minute via my card reader/writer. I use this card in my HPIpaq 4155. It works great. This card is honestly the RollsRoyce of SD cards. There is no better SD card than Panasonic. Kingston is good and reliable. But Kingston SD cards write at much slower speeds than Panasonic. Panasonic is the Roadrunner of SD cards.

5.0 out of 5 stars Sweet Menory Card, December 3, 2004
This review is from: Panasonic 256MB SD Memory Card with up to 10MB/s (up to 66x) writing speed (Personal Computers)
This card was more responsive in my digital camera. I can shoot 3 or 4 frames without any writing delay, unlike my other card. Very nice.

I have used this card for well over a year with my digital camera. It captures images really fast. I have not had even one occasion where the card malfunctioned or behaved in a slow or unpredictable manner. Absolutely trust worthy and reliable.

5.0 out of 5 stars Panasonic SD Memory -- Great!, March 7, 2006
By
This review is from: Panasonic 256MB SD Memory Card with up to 10MB/s (up to 66x) writing speed (Personal Computers)
I purchased the 256 MB Panasonic memory because my new Panasonic camera came with a paltry 16MB. After reading several reviews, I decided to keep my Panasonic ensemble "pure". The camera has very high speed capability thus only the fastest memory would suffice. I am very pleased with all aspects of this purchase -- product, Amazon's service and all. I'd recommend this selection over all the third-party suppiers.

5.0 out of 5 stars 1st memory card for 1st digital camera, March 16, 2006
This review is from: Panasonic 256MB SD Memory Card with up to 10MB/s (up to 66x) writing speed (Personal Computers)
Great, fast memory card. Price on Amazon was best I found. Thought that 256 MB would provide enough storage while on 3 day vacation, but found out we needed more. (It stored 110 images.) Will purchase a 1 GB next and take this one along for a backup.

5.0 out of 5 stars holds a lot of photos, March 4, 2006
This review is from: Panasonic 256MB SD Memory Card with up to 10MB/s (up to 66x) writing speed (Personal Computers)
I am new to digital photography. I've always owned 35mm cameras but with the advent of the digital camera I wanted the ability to have quick access to my photos, ability to discard unwanted ones, and fast picture taking capabilities. This card was highly recommended by other Amazon reviewers and I am not disappointed in the product at all. My camera is a 5 megapixel and I get 161 shots with this card. I have the capability to get more pictures simply by setting my camera at a lower megapixel but 161 shots at 5 is fine with me. Pictures are very clear and true in color. And best part is there is no real lag time between shots. So I don't really have to worry about missing the shot.

I've been using this Panasonic 256 SD Memory card in my Canon PowerShot camera for about 2 weeks with no problems. Have experienced no delay in taking pictures. When I received the card I took several videos to fill the card completely and there were no errors. While there are cheaper cards and the brand may not really make a difference I trust the Panasonic name.
