Owning a vacuum is like owning a printer -- it's not just the initial cost, it's also the ongoing "surcharge" for use. This Panasonic vacuum (which is excellent, by the way) came with two vacuum bags, but I thought from the quality materials and construction of the bags that it wasn't going to be cheap to keep the house vacuumed. I was pleasantly surprised at how long the bags lasted. Even though they aren't terribly big, they are very sturdy and expand to hold a great deal more dust and dirt that expected. Unlike most canister bags, they aren't made of paper, it is sort of a thick stretchy material. They are very easy to change and don't "leak" dirt and dust all over when you take them out of the canister. At $9.99 a four pack here at Amazon, they are a bargain and should last several months, at least, in the average house.

This is great vaccum. I'm usually an "upright" guy, and this is my first canister vaccum. I'm glad I made the switch. This vaccum is so convenient because once you start vaccumming, you don't need to stop. Things like going from hard floor to carpet doesn't require you so stop the machine and flip a switch. Plus, you can vaccum all the way under beds without moving them because this vaccum allows you to bend the head very, very low.

Changing the bag is easy (my old vaccum used Y-type bags and I always felt like I didn't install them correctly).

Cleaning & removing long hair from the head/roller is easy because the entire head comes-off in a jiffy (just one quick lever to press)

Everything about this vaccum is A- / B+. When it breaks (hopefully years down the road) I would have no problem buying a new one.

These are really great bags. You know it when you see it. Really thick and sturdy. These vacuum bags are one of the easiest bags to remove and replace. Made by Panasonic for Panasonic. Well made and quality is excellent.

Just not big enough meaning I have to replace very often. That makes it a bit pricey for me.

Do not order these through B & M Housewares! I ordered this and received cheap generic bags instead. The bags were placed in a shipping bag not even a box! The picture of the Panasonic box is what I ordered and received before. Now it looks like they are trying to pass off these cheap generic bags as Panasonic. First time Amazon has let me down.

These are great bags. Since they're so small (because of the vacuum), you do go thru a lot. Sometimes it can be lot cheaper to buy them in bulk thru a vacuum store if you don't mind getting a year's supply at a time (we've used EZ Vacuum on-line with good results).

I use mainly bagless vacs, but the Panasonic canister is the exception. While I don't like to have to pay for bags, these are very well made. The bag is made of a cloth-like material and I've never had any problems with the bag ripping or bursting (even when it's filled more than it should be). Excellent performance in terms of filtering the exhaust as well.

Since they are so sturdy I've extended the life of the bag by dumping out the contents when it is filled and re-using it. While there is a limit as to how many times that can be done, at the very least it doubles the life of the bag, so it cuts the replacement cost by half.

This is a great replacemnt bag. My vacuum system takes these specific bags and they work well. This is the cheapest place I can buy the bags! They were shipped quickly as well.

I chose to buy the product from B&M Housewares, and received knockoffs rather than the Panasonic genuine bags the product description suggests. Amazon - you fouled up. When you give the option to buy from other vendors, the product should be of equal value and quality. These are anything but.

Items arrived as stated but I would have liked to see better packaging. There is a potential for problems down the road with the shipper packaging. Overall, product arrived as stated and in new retail box. I would and will buy from them again.

I was glad that Amazon is finally carrying these bags for my sweeper, they are the same as the ones you get from panasonic website.
