I had blue bars across the screen of my Panasonic PVGS150 camcorder. I placed the cleaner in,pushed play for 10 seconds and that corrected the problem.

You just insert this item into your camera and run it for 10 seconds. It is very clear: only do it for 10 seconds, maybe do it twice, but stop there. I guess it's abrasive and prolonged use could ruin the heads.

Well, I didn't have my glasses on, and ran the thing for 10 seconds, then removed it and inserted the normal tape. But I got distracted or something, and stuck the cleaner back in the camera and played it for a couple of minutes before I figured out what was going on. The camera seems to be working OK for now but I really thought I had ruined it.

This product's case should be the same bright orange that's on a cop's traffic vest, with "HEAD CLEANER" written in big letters all over it. Apart from that, the product did fix my camera and I was pleased with it.

Bought this to try to fix my "not-working-so-well" Sony mini-DV camcorder. The camcorder was a proven workhorse so when it started acting up I thought it might be the end. I then realized I had NEVER cleaned it. Put this cleaner in for 10 seconds, problem solved. Can;t ask much more than that.

I was a little nervous that it didn't come with instructions but after reading reviews, I felt comfortable putting it in our Sharp. It did the trick. No more lines, no more paused replay, all in 10 seconds. The player kicked it out on its own after doing its magic.

This DV tape cleaner fixed My camcorder's tendency of eating my DV tapes. It fixed the problem after the first use. Please do read the instructions before using this product.

i hadn't cleaned the heads in my mini dvd c/corder in 2, maybe 3 years, and had blue horiz lines on my playback.

one play with this head cleaner was all it needed. and 1/2 price of best buy etc...

Excelent way to clean up your camcorder heads. After 20 hours of recording It's a good thing to clean the heads, specially if you hear distortions in the sound and things like that.

Well, the product did its job. However, it took way longer time to make affect. It advertised that you only need 10 seconds to clean up the video head. I tried to do that for 2 times but it didn't work until I decided to leave a full 1 minute, and it worked at last.
For such a price, this is a okay product!

...If you own a Panasonic PV-GS31 DV video camera, make sure you buy this Panasonic head cleaner. I was using the Maxell head cleaner at first, and was constantly getting the "clean head warning". Since using the Panasonic head cleaner I have never received the warning. Also, if you want better video on your PV-gs31 I would recommend buying Panasonic DV tape AY-DVM63PQ, much better quality than general DV tapes.

Excellent Product and works with most DV camcorders. I have been using a camcorder head cleaner for as long as I have owned one, and if you just play it for 10 seconds (single pass), it should do the job on most machines that have been maintained. It is not meant to be used frequently, and should be used only when you see fuzzy picture or when the camcorder prompts you too (like my sony dv camcorder did).
