I purchased this cable to use with a Panasonic MXE CQ-C7203U CD player with MP3/WMA playback head unit and a new ipod. Imagine my surprise that the newest iPods aren't supported! Older ipods connect just fine, but when you attach a 5G nothing happens at all. This fact is not shown on any website, and I had to go through two levels of Panasonic tech support before I could even get a straight answer from them.

The cable itself is plenty long enough and very sturdy - if you have a 3G or 4G ipod, I'm sure its a great buy. Unfortunately, if you're planning to buy a new ipod, or you already have a 5G ipod video, you don't have a panasonic head unit in your future.

The cable would be great if it would work with the 5th Generation iPods. I have an iTouch and it will not work with that model, Does anyone know the cable i would need for model CQ-C7105U (headunit). Thanks

Having the iPod connected to my stereo is very handy. I just leave it in the glove box, the iPod turns off after the stereo turns off and turns on when the stereo turns on. It even remembers where it was in the last song! It keeps my iPod fully charged. On the stereo, you can scroll through all of the iPod menus. A very handy accessory. Its expensive, but totally worth it!!!

I wasted a lot of time and effort trying to get this thing to work with my 5G Video iPod. I returned it and got the new Panasonic cable designed for the the 5G Video iPod, which, lo and behold, works great. Don't bother if you have a 5G iPod.

this is a great item works how it's described.however the only drawback is that it does not charge your i pod,that is a little frustrating.but it does work great.

This iPod adapter cable was super easy to install, and works like a charm. I was listening to my favorite music within minutes.

Its exactly what I wanted. A little too long but its better than it being too short.

The cable is great, and was easy to install. The only problem was the 4 1/2" plastic box in the middle. But I was able to conceal everything neatly under the center console. I also don't know why the cord has to be so long (almost 3' !), but I guess it's better to have more than not enough.
Overall, it serves it's purpose well. I just don't know why it had to be so expensive.

I installed this into our current stereo (when I pulled it from my old vehicle I forgot to pull this cable out. So I ended up having to buy a new one. We used it a ton on our recent vacation. Worked great.
