Product Description

Camera Server converts analog camera to IP Camera with Audio support. The camera server has an SD card slot which allows you to record images directly from the camera to an SD Memory Card (sold separately) in the server without going through the network. Motion Detection Function and Image Transfer Mode allows you to check a site only when something moves, such as when a person enters or leaves the area under surveillance. When the camera detects movement, it shoots a still image, holds the image temporarily in internal memory, and sends you a copy by email2 or FTP transfer.

I suppose this isn't a bad product if you are trying to record and access an analog feed from a non-ip based camera. I bought this item with the expectation that I could link all my existing Panasonic ip cameras to this unit and record video from each feed to this "camera server" turns out that's not how this device works. This unit only supports up to a 1gb sd card (which would be okay I guess if we weren't living in 2011!) AND most importantly you can only record a single camera feed to this unit, don't expect to be able to record all your ip feeds to this single device.
