5.0 out of 5 stars Good Product expensive price
Good product - but price is double the price of generic batteries. And they are no longer made in Japan. Now they are made in China. At that price I would rather have Made in Japan. Have not noticed a difference when compared to generics. I guess time will tell if the generics stop holding their charge with continued usage. Have been using the Made in Japan version...

1.0 out of 5 stars INACCURATE DESCRIPTION --NOT 1150 mAh!!!!
The item they are currently shipping is NOT the 1150mAh described (and pictured) here -- it is only 1090sMh which will NOT work in the Panasonic Lumix FX01 and similar batteries -- it doesn't have enough power and the camera will have trouble focusing, taking movies, and taking pictures in low-light conditions.

It will fit in the compartment but it will not...

It will fit in the compartment but it will not function. The cameras listed in the title are NOT listed on the back of the package.

I returned the first one thinking they had sent me the wrong item but when the replacement was identical, I realized they no longer have the one described here.

If you're camera is sluggish using this battery -- now you know why.

5.0 out of 5 stars Panasonic's CGA-S005A Battery for my Lumix FX100, August 15, 2007
This review is from: Panasonic CGA-S005A/1B Rechargeable Lithium-Ion Battery for Panasonic FX8, FX9, FX01, FX07, FX3, LX1, LX2 and FX50 Digital Cameras (Electronics)
In the past I've found that being penny wise and pound foolish on batteries and not buying the recommended battery led to an early demise of those batteries. In the last few years, because of that type of experience I only buy brand and I haven't been disappointed yet. This is a terrific battery. As far as price, Amazon was about $36 less than list price. Unbeatable!!

Exact same battery that came with my Panasonic digial camera. Am able to take nearly 800 photos at normal resolution on a single charge at up to 10 photos per minute.

This product works like it should and lives up to the name of Panasonic. I have purchased additional back-up batteries as well, so I always have a full charge if I am out and about and the battery charge is used up. I belive in back-up systems.

5.0 out of 5 stars OEM replacement, September 28, 2011

OEM replacement battery. I have found that the OEM battery is much better than the knockoffs available on teh market. You pay more but they perform better and don't swell and get stuck in the camera when they fail. In fact, I have not had a OEM battery fail yet, only the knockoffs!

4.0 out of 5 stars Back up Battery, March 31, 2011

I bought this battery to back up the original one that came with LX3.

I don't know if it is the camera or the battery but if you are planning for the whole day shoot on your vacation, you need to have two batteries!! and they are not cheap either.

5.0 out of 5 stars Quality Worth the Price, April 19, 2010

There are cheaper batteries but after reading a few reviews about them I decided to avoid the problems enumerated in those other reviews by buying the OEM recommended product. Sure, it costs considerably more but I'd rather pay more and have less issues with the product. The quality you get is worth the price.
