3.0 out of 5 stars I bought it with my iPod in mind
I don't like the sound quality of my iPod when it is plugged in to the stereo. It must be turned up very loud to be able hear it. As a car stereo, it works fine.

I wanted a product that is affordable, nice looking and has an aux input! this Panasonic got it all. The price was amazing ($79.95) and it sound great in my wife's corolla. Amazon has the free shipping w/ this product, so it was even better. I would recommend this product to anyone who just want a nice cd/mp3 player in their car.

I bought this unit to replace my old car cassette player. I always believed in Panasonic, and I just got one more reason to keep believing. The installation is routine. It wasn't super easy because I did it myself (as opposed to pay for the installation). Other than that I enjoy every moment of using this gadget. The sound quality is great. It has 4 default equalizer setting and you can choose what elements of the sound are most important to you. Also it has a display botton that lets you select what you want to see on the display: the clock, the name of music, time elapsed, or folder name (in MP3). The CD player can play both audio and MP3 CDs. I have tried my own recorded MP3 CDs and they work just fine (thanks god this CD player is not picky at all). The description says that it should play WMA CDs too, but I haven't tried them yet. The player also has Repeat and Random options for play list.

The radio receives FM and AM and has 18 pre-programmed settings for FM (three FM bands) and 6 for AM. The reception quality is excellent (and I have a crappy car).

It also has an extra slot for auxiliary players like ipods. The face plate comes off very easily as a protection against burglery and goes back in with a snap. In conclusion, I wouldn't trade this CD player for anything else in the market and I think for the price you pay, you get much more than just an ordinary player.

The feature that sold me on this car stereo was the AUX Input jack in the front. My wife puts a lot of stuff on her MP3 Player that she wants to listen to in the car. We had been using a tape deck and one of those cassette adaptors, but we wanted to upgrade to a cd player and still be able to listen to the MP3 Player. It was an easy install and the sound is as good as the factory speakers in our Subaru will allow. The only feature I needed to get the manual out for was setting the clock, after that everything else was pretty intuitive.

I was expecting a low quality car radio because of the price...But I was surprised!!! This car radio is really good. I bought it for my Honda Civic and is just EXCELLENT...! I highly recommended this item. The Sound is good, all my mp3 sound good, the am/fm and aux unit work perfectly...and the instalation is so easy! take 10 or 15 minutes. I'm really happy with this.. (Actually my brother wants to buy one)..

2.0 out of 5 stars Below average, January 4, 2007
This review is from: Panasonic CQ-C1333U MOS-FET MP3/WMA/CD Receiver with Front Aux-in (50W X 4 max) (Electronics)
I purchased this producet because my 3 year old mp3 player (that cost about twice what this one did when I purchased it) didn't have an Aux-in port. This product was a serious downgrade. Some of the mp3 CD's my old player (a Sony) was able to play without issue no longer play with this mp3 player (perhaps the disk quality is poor, slight scratches etc, since some of the disks marginally work). Also, it hasn't been displaying titles, only numbers. The dial is annoying because if you accidentally push it while adjusting the volume, you are thrown into the selection of treble, bass, etc. I do not recommend this product (lesson learned over and over: don't buy the cheapest item).

Definitely great product for the money. What sold me on it was the aux in. I haven't had any skipping problems or overheating with my unit but you do get what you pay for. It comes with few customizing features (treble, bass, fader, balance) and a few preset equalizer settings (vocal, flat, pop, bass), but you can't fine-tune/equalize the bands individually. Bummer. I'm an audiophile so this is always XTREMELY important to me. But it works well with my mp3 player, xcept I have to turn the volume to maximum on my Creative Zen Microphoto and this receiver. Definitely a perfect upgrade from a standard tape deck ;-)

WARNING! If you plan to have this installed by Circuit City or Best Buy, I HIGHLY recommend you buy this model over there instead of on Amazon. They charge at LEAST 70 dollars for an install so might as well save yourself the money and hassle and buy this model over there for 100 dollars. They usually offer free install when you buy a stereo system from them. But if you're audio-technical savvy, good deal for the price!

4.0 out of 5 stars Panasonic CQ-C1333U, January 22, 2007
This review is from: Panasonic CQ-C1333U MOS-FET MP3/WMA/CD Receiver with Front Aux-in (50W X 4 max) (Electronics)
The CQ-C1333U proved to be a solid entry level CD receiver deck. For audiophiles, the unit lacks the features of more sophiticated and pricier units, but the average listener should appreciate the sound quality provided by the ROCK setting on the unit, especially if you have make the investment in some decent speakers. I currently run a small Adrenanlin kicker box with 3 way speakers and I get a good mix of bass and treble using the onboard BASS and TREBLE controls on the deck. I am completely satisfied with this unit and would highly recommend it for users who want a solid deck at a great price and who do not require such features as a fully programmable EQ.
