Mine's worked flawlessly for over 3 years now, the picture is very sharp using DVDs, VCR, or cable TV. The reception of local stations before we got cable was admittedly weak, so an external powered antenna is probably a good idea. I have the sound coming out through a Sony component stereo system, so all in all it's a very adequate setup. My only wish is that it had S-video or component video inputs for the DVD. Sure, about 2-3 times the screen size would be nice too but then that would be anywhere from 4 to 12 times the cost! This is more than enough for a non-TV-addict like me who basically uses TV about 2-3 times a week to watch rented videos. |
