The second floor of the master bedroom was getting pretty hot, humid and down right uncomfortable. I tried several other brands purchased locally because of concerns with mail ordering such a large item. The brand that claim to be "Library Quiet" forget it! That brand sold at the local mega home center, leave it there. This Panasonic is the "Best In Class". First delivery was quick and trouble free. The Panasonic is easy to install because the chasis slides out of the cabinet allowing you to install a light weight cabinet in window first then just slide the unit in. This baby is quiet. Yes you can sleep like a baby with the low level hum instead of the roar from it competitors. Air distribution is good, remote simple and easy to operate. Basically I have no complaints about this unit.
