I bought this camera to use on a trip to Greece and have never regretted it once!
The 4GB card I bought allowed over 2500 higher-quality pictures to be taken, the colors were good, the camera was easy to use, and it's very portable. It's tiny size means I could slip it into my pocket or into a purse with no trouble, and the quick seconds it took to turn it on meant not losing any important shots. My only even remote criticism is that you have to remove the rechargeable battery from the camera and you are not able to connect the charger directly to the camera. The battery charges quickly, though. Panasonic Lumix DMC-FS25 12MP Digital Camera with 5x MEGA Optical Image Stabilized Zoom and 3 inch LCD (Silver)

This is a wonderful camera. I shopped til I dropped and found this to be the best for the quality and price. I have 5 grandchildren and needed a camera that would capture them and their antics and this is the camera.

I don't recommend buying this camera. If you are going to take photos of stationary objects, at close range outdoors, on a bright cloudless day, you will find the images very acceptable, using either the "IntelligentAuto" function or "Normal Photo" setting and 1-Area focusing. Daylight indoor photos are blurry and noisy using 11-area focusing, unless you force the built in flash. Stick to the 1-area focusing setting in "Normal Picture" mode for the best pictures both indoors and outside. The "AF Tracking" focus mode is way too slow, yielding blurry/noisy photos of moving objects indoors. The newer cameras have addressed this weakness with faster AF...now I know why! Many of these new compact cameras have too many un-necessary functions and settings, like 11-area focusing and face detection, which only tend to confuse the average user and ruin images, especially if one is pressed for time. The LCD and battery life are big pluses. I don't use the camera for video, so can't comment. By the way, both my ancient Panasonic DMC-FZ20 5MP and 8MP Canon A720IS take photos of superior quality to this 12MP camera. I will be retiring this camera to either my car glove compartment or the kitchen junk drawer.

Ease of operation, size of picture preview, physical dimensions, quality of pictures, structural integrity, were the important features that I was looking for. This camera has them. And the price was right. And so far I have not been dissapointed re my decision.

takes great pics and shutter speed is pretty fast. screen cracks easily so dont drop it or put it in position for it to be sat on. Other than that i love this camera and all its features.

I love this camera. My subjects are often moving targets---my two kittens---and this camera enables me to take much better pictures of them. My previous camera produced a lot of blurred fur, but this one makes me appear to be a better photographer than I actually am. It is very easy to use, I love the wide screen, and the pictures turn out great.

I recently purchased the camera to replace a broken Kodak. The kodak was practically new but the screen got broke. The difference between the quality of the pictures is amazing. The screen is the largest I could find and I'm totally impressed.

Found the camera easy to use and it produces great quality pictures. I am pretty much an amature in this field, but this camera has the features that I was most interested in like the extra zoom, wide angle lens, and stabilizer.

I have a 8 month old baby, so this is a nice camera as it is easy to use and small enough to carry every where with me!

As an owner of a Lumix DMC-TZ1, I thought that I would stay with a Panasonic product and upgrade to a 12MP point and shoot camera. I read some of the other reviews and thought that the DMC-FS25 was what I was looking for. I was satisfied with the large LCD,the feel of the camera and many of the features. To my dismay, all my picures were blurry. I even tried setting the timer and placing it on a solid surface thinking maybe I wasn't steady enough, but they still were poor quality. My 5MP took a better shot of the same view than this camera did.
I called about returning the camera and they suggested calling Panasonic. After some thought I did not call Panasonic because I was concerned that my problem would not be corrected within the 30 day return time. It would be nice if camera manufactures would supply wholesellers with pictures taken by the individual camera to prove that their product does not have a bad processor or other problems. |
