I bought this camera as a birthday present for my girl friend Paula. After asking what features she wanted most in a digital camera, I combed the internet for ratings and reviews within my price range. After a few days, I was able to narrow it down to two. This one and the Nikon 620. I chose the FS7 on these three points. 1: It had 10 MP sensor. 2: A 4X optical zoom Lieca lens. 3: Pink, my girl friends favorite color. Upon receiving the unit, I opened it up to test it out and make sure everything was in order. I then had the sudden urge to keep it for myself. This was a great little camera. The pictures are sharp, colors bright, and video as good as I've ever seen for something like this. Too bad I ordered pink, or it would have been mine, and she would have gotten a box of candy instead.

I've bought this camera for my mother because she needs an easy point and shoot camera. She uses it to take random picture. When I was helping her organize her pictures I noticed how sharp and clear the pictures are. The pictures have amazing colors too. I would recommend this camera to anyone who needs a point and shoot!

I've just had it for 2 days and I can't stop thinking how good of a decision it was to go with this camera after reading the specs and the reviews. I'm very satisfied with the picture quality (I have a Nikon D40 DSLR as well) especially the neutral colors and decent time to start and take the first pic. Another big plus is the movie mode and quality - really nice and handy. You can't go wrong.

Just got the camera, works great, forgot about buying a memory card. Memory cards a so cheap, why don't they just include on with the camera?

This camera is a grade A device! First of all it's the brightest shade of pink. Not dull like some of the other best buy canon cameras. The price you can not beat. Amazon is over $100 cheaper than Best Buy for this camera. It has all the options you could ever use... blkwhite, sports, food, outside, inside, portrait... a million others. Its perfect in every way, takes great pics, videos awesome easy to use,and great battery life. I went to Vegas and everyones camera had died at the end of the night but mine was full. buy the memory card on amazon too @Way cheaper!!

I have had one of these for 4 years. They weren't cute colors back then (black was unique, and cost extra) but it has served me well and now I am getting a pink one for my wife. The pictures always look great, it is rugged and reliable.

The only thing I didn't like was not being able to change the zoom while shooting movies. Otherwise, a terrific camera.

I originally bought this for my daughter of a beginners photography class, as I thought she would be thrilled with the pink. However, it does not come with manual adjustments but with just a few pre-set features, so she was unable to use it for her class. I ended up having to give her my own camera and I took this for myself. It does take pretty clear pictures for a camera this size and price and it is very handy to keep in the car for spontaneous shots on the go.
However, if we end up going on a vacation or somewhere where picture quality counts more, then I would take back my other camera and just bring this along as a backup.
Still, I'm not sorry I bought it, just a little sad that DD couldn't use it.

I got this camera for xmas last year!, it takes very good pics when it has a lot if light, or when at night you use the flash opt.
Without the flash the pics looks like grained... but i think is a matter of the brand, my bf has a panasonic much more professional, and has the same problem.

Even the above problem, i totally recommend it. great pics, very portable, so you can take it to parties without a problem! the batteries lasts a lot

This is the third Lumix that I've purchased. I got this for my granddaughter, as I wanted something bright that she would not lose. She loves it, and I am very happy with the DMC-ZS5 that I am using. Panasonic has developed a very good line of cameras. The Leica lens does not hurt.
