This review is from: Panasonic DMP-BD60 All Region Zone free Blu-Ray DVD Player. To play PAL DVDs you must have a PAL TV or Multi System TV (Electronics)
This product (so far) is exactly as advertised. My wife was able to play a DVD from overseas without any issues. This is my first blue-ray player and it hooked up to my Panasonic Viera Plasma in no time at all. Thanks Amazon for saving me $100! It was that much cheaper than going to a popular all-region DVD player seller!

As we live in Tahiti we do have Bluray discs coming from both europe and USA, so it's really cool that we can play them both on that device. It can even be firmware updated with the official uptade from Panasonic through their web site. The only con would be that the device takes something like a minute to be able to play something after it is turned on. The quick start option would not work if you have to use a different region restricted Bluray disc than the one you used before you turned on the quickstart option.
The seller has Great communication with his buyers anyway.

At first the player worked great, but after having it for less than a year it has stopped playing all of my Pal Dvds.

I bought this unit specifically for the multi region and zone capability so was happy to pay a bit more. I am a pretty technical person and started connecting the unit up to my TV and was just not able to get it to display a picture on the TV, not even the boot up screen for the unit. I 1st tried the HDMI cable and tested it with another cable I had lying around.
2nd I tried to connect it up with the A/V outputs (composite video, S-video, and component video) as my TV has all these inputs but still no luck, I then tried the same connections on two other TVs but still nothing. I finally gave up and decided to send it back the next day. I was reluctant to buy a Panasonic again as I have had trouble with their products in the past. I finally gave up on the multi region and zone capability and bought a Sony 3D Blu-ray BDP-BX57 at Costco. This is one awesome player with a ton more functionality then the Panasonic

This unit gives me trouble reading disks, for example, could see the movie Knowing [Blu-ray/Región 1(a)] (2009) (Nicolas Cage) and to read the image files can only carry a limited quantity, at least about 100 files . jpg, no more.
