But the worst part is that it doesn't even come with a plastic protector to cover the battery terminals. It ships with a silly little ziploc bag. Even cheap $19 batteries come with a protector cover (as do the Panasonic GH2 batteries).
The battery does work well, however, and though I'm not happy with its price or packaging, I am happy with its performance.
But after 3 months of use one of them died. It did not want to charge anymore. So I have since tried to contact the vendor and ask for a new one since they came with warrantee. No answers. Not via Amazon, and than through teh email he has sent me offering the 2 replacement batteries. So now I am almost 2 months into this and thought it was time to write that about the vendor. So before you buy consider this If they stop working you might have lost your $30...
It seems to last about 50% longer than GH2's. I get around 300-400 shots with some video per charge.
I use third party spares for the GH2 but decided to go with original ones for the GH3. I wanted the battery gauge display. If 3rd party batteries can show the gauge, then they are certainly more compelling buys.
It's an expensive battery but seeing that I'll be using the camera for a long time, it's worth it in the long run -- I used the GH2 for two years. With the GH2, I need three batteries for a day, now I need only two.
The only disappointing thing is the accompanying battery cover that is a small zip-lock type bag instead of the hard cover.
It lasts me half a full day of shooting FHD video (1080p, 23.976 fps) and hasn't caught me off-guard yet in terms of warning about when I'm low on battery.

Received body lotion instead? Obviously I wanted body lotion not the battery shown in the picture and description.Published 3 months ago by Nick
Don't buy this battery, it's a waste of money, loses battery life very quickly,
It is a fake battery, so don't bother buying from this user.
Not a very good replacement for the Panasonic branded battery. Short life, very fast rolloff of power at end. Wouldn't recommend, wouldn't purchase again.Published 6 months ago by Christian Jolly
My workhorse camera is Panasonic's GH-3 - until recently, their top-of-the-line mirrorless model. I do most of my shooting in nature preserves and wildlife sanctuaries, so a... Read morePublished 11 months ago by M. G. Smith
