I bought my @ Costco about three years ago after returning another one and I have been very happy with it. My 3 young children and I have used it many times and even with sticky fingers and a few bumps and drops, it works great. The sound is incredible, stero and surround sound are very good. Never had a problem with the battery, I can still watch a couple of movies before recharging it. Picture quality is great. I have even taken it with me to Hawaii and plugged it into the T.V. to watch D.V.D.'s. I would definately recommend it. The only draw back was that at that time they weren't making them with game ports so my son could play his Xbox on it.
