Panasonic Digital Still Camera/lens Adapter

I purchased this adaptor through Amazon/Onecall. It screws on to the FZ18 barrel (55.8mm) and has a 55mm thread in front to attach auxilliary lenses.

I am using a 1.5x Olympus Teleconverter with a 55 to 52mm step down ring and the results are simply wonderful! The additional 1.5x reach - without having to use Digital Zoom or Cropping ensures much better results.

Please do note however that once you attach this adaptor, you will only be able to use the tele end of the zoom. If you zoom back to the wide end, the image will look like you are viewing it through a tube / tunnel.

This lens adapter has met my expectations. It is solid metal and fits perfectly to my Panasonic FZ28 camera. It connects with the Olympus TCON 1.7 Telephoto Converter Lens seamlessly.

Awesome build quality, this thing is made of steel, contrary to what I thought earlier. I used it with Lumix FZ-18 to screw in my telephoto lens Raynox DCR-2025. Once the whole thing is attached, the unit is amazingly stable and solid. Holds the lens very well.

This is the adapter that you need to install on your Panasonic DMC-FZ35 camera to use a 55mm lens. It is made of metal and is very strong. You can use it to install the Panasonic DMW-LT55 55mm Tele Conversion Lens for Panasonic FZ7, FZ30, FZ18, and FZ50 Digital Cameras or you can save yourself a bunch of money and get the Olympus TCON-1.7x Telephoto Converter Lens.

The adaptor and a step ring (55-50mm available from Pemaraal.com) allows me to use a Nikon TC-E15ED teleconverter on my FZ28. This gives a 1.5X boost to the telephoto end of the Lumix lens but does not allow zooming all the way back. You need to remove the teleconverter for wider angle shots.

The adapter fit perfectly on my Lumix DMC-FZ35. Shipping was as promised. No problems.

If you've bought the new Panasonic Digital Camera, then this lens adapter is a "must have" for the avid photographer. Admittedly I am not the photo artist in the family, but hubby is and is thrilled to have this. Simple to use - just screw it onto to front "barrel" of the camera and then attach whatever other lens you want to use onto the other end. It would be a great stocking stuffer for your photo artist.

The DMW-LA3 FZ18/FZ35 Filter Adapter fits my FZ35 fine and it IS the exact adapter described in the accessory section of my manual, but, it is not noted on the Amazon web page that this adapter is fairly deep and primarily made for using in the mid to telephotos position only (not quite full wide-angle if you have a Pany with a 25-28mm WA) due to severe image cutoff (vignetting) in the widest angle zoom position. I intended to use this adapter with several filters I have on hand as well as perhaps a future fisheye adapter. It's made of solid metal and certainly will do the job for specific optical adapters or filters when using other then the widest angle zoom setting. I ended up using the 46mm 3 piece filter set I originally purchased at Amazon (Zeikos) which works perfectly with no image cutoff issues. 3 stars for it's limited applications using it on the FZ35. Blaming the design of the adapter is not solely the issue here, it's both the combination of design of the adapter as well as the wider angle focal length that some of the Panys which have the widest angles of most of the point and shoots as well as entry level/fixed lens SLRs. The Amazon reviews in general are the best sources of educating yourself on a purchase BEFORE you take the plunge and buy it! While some reviewers may state not to blame the adapter, be advised the reviewer's input is apt to save you from a wasted purchase that ends up being a return because you weren't aware of a compatibility issue!

This hood adapter fits the Panasonic FZ18 perfectly and allows room for UV or ND filters to be used without interferring with the movement of the zooming effect of the camera. Surprizingly, it was made of metal, and not a hard plastic like I expected it to be. I looked at that as a "bonus".

Seems to be well made and the threads fit perfectly on my FZ-18. I attached an Olympus B300 tele converter to this adapter and it fit perfectly as well.
