These lamps are excellent. Small lag time on start-up (they ramp up to full brightness in 5 - 10 seconds, yet they still start at approx. 85% brightness the instant they're turned on).The warm color most closely resembles the standard a-lamps incandesent type that we're all used to. I've installed them in all my recessed ceiling lighting (over 40 units in my house)and they take a big bite out of your electricity bill (especially in darker winter). I've been using them for 6-7 years and have had only one fail so far. I particularly like the EFG23E28. (check out high performance lighting on www.Ibacos.com to confirm that CRI 83 & temperature 3000 K are the optimum specs for High perf. lighting - these Panasonics just about meet those specs.
