for single blade this is probably the best shaver i have ever had and i have had over 7 shavers.
close and comfortable shave everytime. one drawback is that you must keep it charge. does not come with cord for ac/dc shaving..excellent product nonetheless...

I actually use this to shave my head--works great. Feels well made, it's inexpensive, I like the wet/dry feature.

This product met my expectations for an electric shaver. I can't shave too often or my face will bump up. This shaver is great as it gives a close shave but is not harsh on your face. Works great in the shower too.

I only use my electric shaver on the weekends, so I am not that picky about its performance. This shaver performs ok, about the same as most, but there are probably ones that shave closer (for more money). I bought this one because the replacement parts are relatively cheap. Note that the charger for this shaver is incompatible with outlets with horizontal slots, a very common arrangement here in the Chicago area. Otherwise, the charger is fairly nice - no messy chord. The shaver plugs directly into the "wall wart". The rechargeable battery is NiMH, which means that it is okay to leave it fully charged most of the time - no need to drain it down like the older NiCad batteries.

This is my 6th panasonic single blade shaver. The closest, most comfortable shave in the shower. I've tried multible head shavers, and prefer the single head model.

I purchased this Panasonic Electric Razor because I was desperate. All I could find in Local stores was brands I had tried before and did not really have good experiences with. I did not want to risk spending a lot on an unknown razor, so i tried it.

Wow! This is the BEST electric Razor I have ever used. It gives me a clean shave without a lot of effort. I can actually tell by the sound, when it is cutting beard and when the area is clean. This is the closest I have ever gotten to a regular blade shaver with electric.

I like it so well, that after a month, I purchased a spare foil and blade, so that I can keep using it past the normal foil life. That part I do not know about yet. How long will the foil last? With other razors, the foils did not last very long and the replacement cost was not that much less than a new shaver. At Amazon, I got a new foil and blade for a very nominal price.

I am very hapy I gave the Panasonic a try.

The Panasonic ES-SA40-K Pro Curve Wet/Dry Shaver, is the best simple single blade shaver that I have used. I shave in the shower and have used many of the Panasonic wet/dry shavers. The Panasonic ES-SA40-K Pro Curve Wet/Dry Shaver single blade gives me the best shave for the cost. Over the past 20 years, I have used many of the 2 & 3 blade Panasonic shavers, but I keep coming back to the single blade. None of them give you the best shave around the neck, but the Panasonic ES-SA40-K Pro Curve Wet/Dry Shaver, single blade has done the best of all of them. The price is reasonable and by the time you wear it out, you can either purchase replacement blade and foil or just buy a new one. I use Scrubbing Bubbles to clean off the shaving cream scum and the shaver looks like it did when it was new. I hope you enjoy your new Panasonic ES-SA40-K Pro Curve Wet/Dry Shaver as much as I have.

The Panasonic ES-SA40 is the third Panasonic shaver that I have owned. After several years of reliable service, my previous unit failed permanently. I replaced that unit with this one and continue to be impressed by my Panasonic purchases.

This unit is a tremendous value for the purchase price. It performs as well as or better than my previous linear shaver from Panasonic at about 1/2 of the price.

I use this unit to shave my face and head so it does double duty and performs very well. If used for double duty or strictly as a facial shaver, I am confident in recommending this shaver.

It has been decades since I've used an electric razor. The battery in my old one died years ago and it was fairly heavy so I threw it out and ordered this one after reading the reviews. I was concerned about the "break in" period some suggested was needed. However, when I used it for the first time, I felt no pulls or nicks, my skin was not irritated and... to my big surprise... the shave was as close as some of mine with a blade.

I haven't tested the battery life yet, but am very pleased with the shaver. It is light and easily taken with me on trips, or used to "tidy up" if I want to go out without looking like Richard Nixon!

This is definitely a great shaver for the price. Personally I'd rather have it to use than most shavers multiple times the cost.
Is simple works well, light, very easy to use and charge. I only have to charge it once every few weeks it seems.
However, be warned you must use it every day for it to work. If you wait and use it when hair has grown out it will hardly have any affect at all in cutting long hairs..
