I bought this shaver on a whim, and to fullfil a panasonic $50 off $130 promotion. Its small, easy to manipulate, fairly quiet, easy to clean, and goes easy on the batteries. I use two shavers, a norelco to cut the long hairs and this one to touch-up the short hairs and leave my skin smooth. My one complaint is that you have to clean it fairly often, after about 3 big shaves. Well, it is a small travel shaver.

Got this for Europe & Asia and it works great for my medium beard. The two AA batteries (available anywhere) last a looong time; the little plastic shield/case protects the head (& has a mirror) so no bag is needed. I use it with soap or shaving cream in my morning shower and touch up again after I dry off. Great for cleaning up again just before going out in the evening. Smooth as a razor? No ... but very quick, easy, and neat.

I just purchased this shaver. I tried it once and is very much satisfied. I got as close shave as I would get with my regular Wet/Dry Panasonic shaver. I am vry much impressed with this shaver. The price is very reasonable.

I just purchsed this razor and used it on a 5-day trip. It was great. I have a really tough beard (tree stumps) so I was impressed. I might have actually gotten closer shaves than with my not-so-portable Panasonic wet/dry shaver; could be because the portable one is new (sharp blades), could be because it has smaller heads, could be I'm dreaming. I'm going to take this on a Japan+China trip. We'll see!

The divergence in the other customer reviews is puzzling -- it seems you either love this thing or hate it.

Me, I love it: the performance is way beyond what I expected, much closer to a full-size electric shaver. My experience matches John Reed's word for word.

When I read the other recommendatios I was convinced that this shaver could help me with my irritable skin, but quite the contrary, it made my problem worst, and the quality of the product is very low, it started malfunctioning scince the begining, until a few months later it stop working.

Do yourself a favor and try another shaver.

I was looking for an extremely small shaver and although i can't say that this one is as small as i thought it was, it works pretty well. IT also looks very nice.

Panasonic started this years ago, to increase sales of electronics...they paint the models instead of being immpregnated plastic.
So as the models work, just using the shaver or phone or any 'silver' piece the color wears off. This is called planned obsolescence and it makes this model or anything they make like this a waste of time.
ANY kind of face cream will only make it wear off faster and quickly becomes trashed.

Amazons return process is fantastic. The razor on the other hand did not even turn on. A dud maybe, but I wont take my chances on it again.

I tried to shave and it was just not doing anything. Tried few times and it did not shave anything off. If you can avoid it.
