5.0 out of 5 stars easy read and accurate
I ran this wrist sphyg with a mercury certified unit and the readings were almost exactly the same. Most products from Panasonic are quality and I have not found yet that begs a difference from that advertised. Only problem I had was the way the unit faces, away from direct vision so learn to read it sideways. This product is several hundred dollars less than a pro cuff,...

2.0 out of 5 stars Not reliably accurate
I bought this based on the review of a doctor who tested it out in his OR. I got it and it seemed great at first, and then my readings seemed more erratic. I read and followed the instructions but got way different results from my doctor at the last visit. I believe this unit may be like cheap tire pressure guages. They are calibrated and work well at first, but then...

I wanted to get a home BP monitor that was easy to use on my own. The Precise Logic Wrist Monitor has clear and easy instructions and can be put on the wrist with no difficulty using one hand. The testing process is automatic, quick and comfortable; the monitor has large numbers and the display stays on for 5 minutes, giving you a chance to record the numbers on the chart that comes with it. There is also a plastic carrying case that can fit in a small bag or purse so it's very portable. I brought this monitor to my doctor's office to compare it to the standard arm cuff, and the results were close but came out as being higher than the doctor's readings. I'll still be using it for home monitoring, keeping in mind that it's not as accurate as an arm cuff but I don't have to run to the doctor's office every week to get it checked there.

4.0 out of 5 stars Good One, July 28, 2005
This review is from: Panasonic EW3002W Precise Logic Wrist Blood Pressure Monitor (Health and Beauty)
This is good one at reasonble price.
But I found that some times it is showing high reading which is very scary
and more over there will be huge variations in reading depending on the hand position.

In the right position of hand it is giving consistent and good readings.

1. Shipping was on time and arrived well ahead of schedule.
2. Product is easy to use, digits on screen are big and readable.
3. Only drawback I found was this product requires sitting in specific position and arm should be angled in a particular way for the results to be accurate.
4. It has been used for about once/twice a day since last one month and the batteries are still going strong.

4.0 out of 5 stars Reliable if used correctly, July 28, 2005
This review is from: Panasonic EW3002W Precise Logic Wrist Blood Pressure Monitor (Health and Beauty)
I bought this monitor for my mom and tried on myself first before passing it on. There is quite some change if I am sitting instead of lying as instructed. But when I measure the pressure in a supine position the results were fairly consistent and accurate (similar results as the one wrapping the upper arm). Overall I am pleased with this monitor.

1.0 out of 5 stars BAD, September 26, 2005
This review is from: Panasonic EW3002W Precise Logic Wrist Blood Pressure Monitor (Health and Beauty)
With an equipment like a BP monitor, it is either GOOD or BAD. This one is BAD ! I know that I have been border line with my blood pressure for the last 3 years. When I tested the equipment, it kept showing my readings as being SUPER normal while it was not the case [verified at the doctor's office]. This is dangerous considering how easy it is for one to keep thinking that they are maintaining normal readings.

2.0 out of 5 stars Nice unit, but, February 10, 2005
This review is from: Panasonic EW3002W Precise Logic Wrist Blood Pressure Monitor (Health and Beauty)
I really liked the design and size of the unit, but it was just not accurate. I have been monitoring my blood pressure for years and it has never been low. This unit gave me low readings most of the time. I liked the readings, but I know they were not true.
