Panasonic digital technology allows for blood pressure readings to be taken during inflation to prevent over-tightening of the cuff.

One-Touch Auto Inflate

Quick and easy-to-use, one-touch auto inflate safely and comfortably inflates the cuff for measurements.

Large, Digital LCD Display

The blood pressure monitor's display includes large, legible, and clear characters and intuitive symbols, which means reading your results is no longer a chore.

Irregular Pulse Function

To ensure maximum accuracy, the blood pressure monitor will automatically detect an irregular pulse or arm movement and display a corresponding icon alerting you to retake the measurement.

This wrist BP cuff was exactly what I was looking for. Directions were simple and it is easy to use. Holding my wrist, palm side up, anywhere between my abdomen and chest area seems to work fine. The first wrist BP cuff I bought at a store would not work unless held against my chest over my heart, in exactly the right spot, and then it only worked once. My wrist circumference is 8-1/4 inches, so I was concerned about it fitting, but no worries there. My dentist's office uses 3 different ones and told me this one was their favorite, even though it was the less expensive one. The BP readings are right inline with the dentist and physician office. I would recommend this wrist BP cuff to anyone who must take their own BP due to the ease of use, its accuracy, and the inexpensive price. Plus, I would not hesitate to purchase it from Amazon.com.

I've had moderately elevated blood pressure since I was in my mid thirties and have had 6 or 7 different consumer grade blood pressure monitors (mostly the self inflating type) since that time. I have found that for most people the simplest is the best, as the more features that get built into these things, the more people seem to complain of inaccurate readings.

If you're shopping and looking at reviews I suspect you'll find what I did: a large majority rate most models excellent (5 stars) and then there'll always be one or two outliers that come up with horror stories of gross inaccuracy. The truth as I see it is somewhere in the middle. If someone has widely fluctuating readings, they're either using the device in an inappropriate way or they have a defective unit. And if someone claims a particular model is "highly accurate" how do they know unless they are using another calibrated monitor at the same time? The fact is your blood pressure fluctuates AND sometimes these self inflating monitors, for whatever reason, don't get good data from the sensor imbedded in the cuff. Also, if you go into a doctors office you will most likely get your BP checked by a nurse who uses a totally manual sphygmomanometer where she listens to the blood flow while watching a column of mercury rise and fall against a scale. Do you know if she has perfect hearing and can accurately determine your reading? The point is absolute accuracy is always a bit subjective without verifiable standards and repetitive readings.

My experience with this particular monitor is that it is simple to use and provides repeatable results. Is it absolutely accurate?

I purchased this product in early November 2009 after being diagnosed with hyper tension. The directions were clear. I started using this product immediaitely. On November 26, 2009 I had taken my high blood pressure medicine in the morning. My reading was 144/84 . In the afternoon I did not feel right. I used this item to check my blood pressue. The reading was 213/110. I took a second reading. The second reading was the about the same. I mmediately went to the emergency room at the hospital. The hospital confirmed my very high blood pressure and began immediate treatment. I was subsequently admitted to the hospital. Without this device I would not have known how serious the situation was. I continued to use the devise after I returned from the hospital. I highly recommend this item. The original batteries did not last long and I replaced them almost immediately with Alkaline AAA Batteries. The replacement batteries are working fine.

We've used this BP monitor for a month now and it works well. We callibrated it against the home care specialist's numbers using an old-fashioned pumped cuff and stethescope. The results are within a few points. It is not difficult to position correctly and gives good readings for both me (small boned, 5'7" female) and my husband (medium build, 5' 11" male).

This things works like a charm. The only issue I can come up with is that it's a little more sensitive to any arm movement, especially to larger wrist. If your wrist is larger than 7.5" in perimeter, it probably won't fit, and even if it fits, it will probably be extra sensitive to your arm movement.

The memorizing and averaging feature is nice. My fiance uses it every day now, instead of the traditional upper-arm-and-manual-pump one, as she never has to worry about how much she has to pump (this unit inflates automatically once you press the Start button).

I also found it's easier to support the arm that is being monitored with the other arm, instead of the plastic arm support that comes with the unit.

This small, easy to use, unit is kept in a small portable carrying case. It's very easy to use by placing around your wrist with your free hand. It self-inflates and has a very easy to read screen. I like having the ability to save your most recent readings. I definitely would recommend this product.

This product was disappointing. I've found the accuracy to be poor. The readings have been wildly inconsistent. Because you take the readings from your wrist, the placement of your wrist has to be perfectly aligned with your heart - and it must be that way consistently to get comparative readings. It your arm is off angle by a few degrees, your reading will be wrong. Unfortunately, I can't recommend this product if you are really relying on it to accurtatly test your BP. The return shipping and 15% restocking fee by Discouint Jungle make a return impracticle. Amazon should not allow its merchants to charge a restocking fee for a product that fails to meet your expectations.
