This universal charger will charge all batteries in the Panasonic cordless line with the exception of the 2.4-volt and 3.6-volt. Ni- Cad or Ni-Mh any amp hour rating. It is the charger packaged with all 15.6- and 12-volt tools and will charge Ni-Cad and Ni-Mh from 7.2-volt to 15.6-volt.

It's a good little charger, the lightest Panasonic currently make for their drills (important if you have to lug it far), but I'm a little disappointed that it's five minutes slower than the old EY0202B charger when charging my older NiCads.

I still yern for my old 1.2Ah 'C' battery and it's 15min charging time. Alas, they were withdrawn at the beginning of this year just before I got around to buying a new one.

I note Metabo now have a charger that will charge 1.4Ah batteries in just 11mins, and 2.0Ah batteries in just 16mins, while Panasonic's 2.0Ah 'F' battery takes 30mins with this charger. And Metabo claim their batteries will take 3000 charges to Panasonic's 1200. I think Panasonic's losing it's competitive edge.
