A clear cover over the blade contains metal chips and makes it easy to see the cutting edge so you don’t have to lean over the front of the saw to monitor progress. And, an electric brake and a shaft lock button mean optimal safety and easy blade replacement. The in-line ergonomic design gives you plenty of comfort for those challenging metal cutting tasks.

The saw is designed to cut round or bar metal stock such as rebar up to 5/8 inches in diameter, and it cuts plate steel up to 3/16 inches thick. For cutting conduit, threaded rod, strut, spiral duct, and metal siding material or roof decking, nothing does the job faster or smoother. Really, why leave behind burrs that have to be touched up later? This saw’s thin-kerf blade and high-speed motor cuts smoothly, with no rough edges to file down later. And, the tool cuts without heating up the material so you can handle the cut area as soon as the cut is done. Equipped with the thin metal blade (EY9PM13D), the saw cuts thin metal such as steel residential siding without bending or blemishing.

The long run time comes from Panasonic's 3.0 amp NiMh battery technology. The battery charges in just 45 minutes to cut over 100 pieces of 3/8-inch threaded rod or 3/4-inch conduit before it’s time to replenish. And, so you’re not left in the lurch with just a little work left to do, the inverter charger features a 5-minute "Emergency Charge" that charges the pack to 15 percent of its capacity to finish those last few cuts. --Brian D. Panasonic's model EY3530NQMKW is a 15.6-volt metal cutting saw kit. The blade size is 5-3/8 inches with a maximum cutting depth of 1-13/16 inches. This saw is designed to cut metal round or bar stock to 5/8 of an inch and plate steel to 3/16 of an inch. It is ideal for cutting conduit, threaded rod, strut, spiral duct, and metal siding material or roof decking. The cut is burr free and does not heat up; you can handle the cut area right after you finish the cut. Equipped with the thin metal blade (EY9PM13D), it will provide an easy solution to cutting thin metal such as steel residential siding. The saw will cut over 100 pieces of 3/8-inch threaded rod or 3/4-inch emt conduit on a single charge. The long run time coming from Panasonic's 3.0 amp NiMh battery technology combined with a high quality C6 carbide thin kerf blade. The shoe has a depth adjustment from 1/8 to 1-13/16 inches and has a clear cover over the blade to contain chips. The saw has an electric brake and is equipped with a safety lock lever for safe but comfortable use. The kit includes two 3.0 amp NiMh batteries and a molded plastic case.

Expensive but phenomenal! I'll never use anythind so comfortable as this one.
All my electronics are Sony & Panasonic, now time for the right tools.
Panasonic doesn't make too many of them but they are truly for the kings of the hill.
