This combination tool is ideal for the installation of tapcon and other small-diameter (1/2-inch or less) masonry anchors. The hammerdrill mode allows drilling in masonry brick and block with ease and speed. The tool delivers 1,550 RPM combined with 28,000 BPM for fast, clean and efficient masonry drilling. Put the tool in the drill/driver mode for 1,550 RPM in high speed and 425 inch/pounds of torque in low speed for drilling large-diameter holes and driving large screws. In addition, the drill/driver mode offers a 15-stage high-torque clutch for controlling the precise power applied to the task.
The tool is compact, lightweight, and features excellent ergonomic design for greater comfort and reduced user fatigue. It is powered by Panasonic's 3.5Ah Ni-MH battery pack, the highest capacity battery pack available in the market today. The 3.5Ah battery pack delivers extended run time so you can get the job done on your schedule. It is 9.56 inches in length and weighs just 5.9 pounds. It is covered by a limited 1-year warranty.

I took a stab at panasonic cordless tools 3 years ago based soley on the nimh battery capassity.What i ended up with was a superior drill that lasts 6+ hours.I am a contractor and i have used this drill every day for the past three years ive owned it.Ive had to send my drill out for a tune up recently,(it diddnt break whatsoever)its nice having a drill that can be used on a daily basis for three years without a single issue. The battery charger it comes with is a fast 45 min charger, so your never without a uncharged battery(if you play your cards right). Now the downside, this drill is heavy but thats what you give up with an 18v drill that has to be understood i wouldnt buy this drill for its weight but if you want the best ,a heavy tool is what you end up with. If you want something lite get an inpact wrench.
In conclusion this drill i believe is the best out there for lite masonairy apps like tapcons,the torque is way overboard (it can tackle things most other drills cant like drilling through steel)so you dont have to think twice about corded tools across the jobsite, or out in the box truck.Even though this tool is heavy i still gave it five stars because to me its worth its weight in gold. I have used many cordless drills and this one is by far the best. It has excellent power and battery life. I would highly recommend this tool to anyone.

I am completely satisfied with the Panasonic hammer drill. This is my second purchase of a Panasonic drill. I had bought a cordless drill about 6 years ago, also from Amazon. It is working strong.
