New features and technologies make the latest generation of Panasonic ventilation fans perfect for many ventilation applications. The Panasonic FV-08WQ1 WhisperWall 70 CFM fan is designed specifically for through-the-wall mounting to provide ventilation in rooms where a ceiling mounted fan is not possible. An exterior hood with a back-draft damper is included to finish off the job. This fan has a totally enclosed condenser motor and a large, double suction blower wheel to quietly move air. The blower wheel is designed to draw air in from both sides allowing more area for the air to enter the wheel. Panasonic fans are quiet enough that you might not even know they're on. This fan is designed to give you continuous, trouble-free operation for many years due to its high-quality components and permanently lubricated motors which wear at a slower pace. We designed the electrical configuration of this model's condenser motor to allow it to operate at lower temperatures, increasing the life of the motor and bearings. And, the fan housing is made of heavy-gauge zinc galvanized steel and painted to protect it from rust. With a .8 sone level and rated 70 cubic feet per minute, this fan is Energy Star qualified. The Panasonic FV-08WQ1 WhisperWall 70 CFM Wall Mounted Fan is covered by a manufacturer warranty for period of three years from the date of the original purchase and is sold one item per package.

I'm very satisfied with all the Panasonic venting fans that I've ever purchased: they are not toys yet they operate so very quietly. This one is a version made for wall installation and,in particular, it was relatively easy to adapt for my use in an 8" square duct.

Have three of these bought from EFI about 8 years ago. We live in Hawaii. Run them 24/7/365 for the most part except when it's cold and I want to keep the heat in. Two are at apex of open beam ceiling, the other in a bedroom. Dramatic change in room temps. Before, when we got home, first thing we did most days was to open all windows. Now, we rarely open all windows and it's not much a priority when we get home. Main thing with these is to ensure cross-ventilation as the exhaust fans will remove hot air but are inefficient if no incoming air. So if used in attic, might want to get two...one for inflow and the other for outflow...little attic air vent screens will hamper the exhaust of hot air.

This exhaust fan is the most awesome one we have ever installed! It's in our kitchen. It's so quiet you don't even know it's on. Air quality has improved 100%. We even installed an on / off switch so it doesn't run at night. Five star review!
