The KX-TG2420B 2.4 GHz GigaRange cordless phone uses frequency-hopping spread spectrum technology to give you outstanding range and signal consistency. Plus, with subscription to local service, its ready for caller ID/call waiting, so you know who's calling with just a glance at the handset. The 50-station memory stores the most recent callers' names and numbers, along with the date and time of their call. Access the separate phone book for an additional 50 names and numbers of the people you call most frequently.

The base unit can be displayed on a counter or mounted on the wall; either way, the matte black finish looks appealingly modern. Panasonic includes a one-year warranty covering parts and service.

I was a little hesitant to purchase this phone based on some of the other reviews but this one is a winner! Excellent reception and clarity. Lots of built-in features like ringtones, voice mail access with touch of a button, address book and memory. Another thing I like is that the speaker phone is in the handset and you have the option to have the antennae light up if you have messages. The handset is the perfect size. Too many features to list but it's a great deal especially at this price.

This phone is what you expect from Panasonic: quality and clarity. Reception range is good. Unlike some other phones, this one doesn't seem to interfere with wireless lan. The drawbacks are:

1. No lighted keypads.

2. Very slow to enter numbers to the headset phone book.

In short, it works. Just what it is supposed to do.

The only reason that I gave the phone a 4star is that I object to the size of the handset. Without sufficient light, it is difficult to use,especially when you are a senior citizen. Otherwise the phone is excellent like all Panasonic products that we own!
