My old cam allows me to edit raw footage right in the camera. I can then record directly into my DVDrecorder without using a computer. Can the HC 520? Mar 18, 2014
Yes, this camcorder does allow basic scene editing; including scene deletion, deleting part of a scene, and dividing scenes.
Hi. Is this camcorder really 1080p? It says 60p, but not 1080p by itself. Has anyone tested this? Thank you. :) Oct 8, 2013
Yes. It really is 1920/1080p. I personally use this mode.
The HC-V520 and 520K are the same model. The K designates the camcorder is black in color. The 520M is a model that is not sold in the USA and has an internal memory.
Recording footage with the Panasonic HC-v520's built-in mic in auto mode: when you play it back, is there ANY audible noise from the auto focus motor? Mar 29, 2014
I did not have any problem with motor noise so far. I use zoom a lot since I use my camcorder recording my son's marching band, although recently I started using a separate digital recorder for better audio. I hope this helps.
Not at the moment. I hope that this will be expanded in firmware updates, but at the moment I believe it just operates with ustream.
Yes, this camcorder records in either AVCHD or iFrame. Additional information is available in the below link. http://service.us.panasonic.com/OPERMANPDF/HCV520_ADV.PDF#page=2
