This stylish fax/phone combo from Panasonic comes with a reasonable price tag and plenty of features. Out-of-paper reception of up to 28 pages ensures that you don't miss important faxes, while the all-digital answering machine has up to 18 minutes of record time and features three mailboxes to help you organize your messages.

A modem speed of 14.4 Kbps results in transmission times of around 9 seconds per page, while a broadcasting feature lets you send faxes to multiple numbers without having to reload the original. You can set resolutions to four different settings (photo, super fine, fine, and standard), and enlarge or reduce copies 72% to 200% using the five presets. The automatic documents feeder handles up to 10 pages at once, while the multi-copy feature makes up to 50 copies at a time.

By utilizing the 2.4 GHz digital frequency, the KX-FPG371's cordless telephone offers clear, intelligible reception even at a distance. Call waiting and caller ID compatible, the KX-FPG371 also supports distinctive ring detection and can be programmed to send a message to your pager when a fax has been received. The phone is headset compatible for hands-free use (a belt clip is provided), while a page button on the base makes finding a lost handset quick and painless.

The KX-FPG371 has a footprint of 15.2 by 12.8 inches and comes backed with a six-month exchange warranty.

Typically when you combine too many features at once you tend to lose quality, but that is not true in this case. For starters the directions are easy and the unit is simple to install. We only send and/or receive faxes a few times a month, so for our occasional use the unit is wonderful. I live in a very large house and the phone is crystal clear no matter where I am at, even outside. The appearance is sleek and stylish, which is important to me. The buttons are easy to access and read. The faxes and copies I have made/sent are great! I have no complaints with this unit at all!

this product may have an initial low outlay but the film cartridges are 1/2 the size of other fax machines and cost the same so we are spending a lot of money on film cartridges.
I would not recommend this product.

I have a home office and this does just fine for a small office function. Phone works well, as well as the fax. Instructions to get started are a little confusing, but just as good all the same.
