Stunning quality photos!!

Panasonic, with their KX-PX20M dye-sublimation photo printer appears to have one-upped Kodak. Rather than taking the "value-added" approach of Kodak and throw the kitchen sink at features and bloated software, Panasonic has stripped out non-essentials and provided a noticeably better quality and more reliable unit.

The KX-PX20M can be used stand-alone utilizing a memory card and the clear 3.6" color LCD screen, or it can be hooked up to your computer via a USB cable and Panasonic's supplied printer driver. That's it. Just a driver which installs effortlessly and actually works. You use your own application software to print from or for quick prints, just use Window's built-in Fax Viewer program.

Even images from my old 3.1 megapixel camera took on a new life of vibrancy and clarity.

Dye-sublimation printers, which produce a "continuous tone" image just like a chemically processed photo, produce their magic by turning a solid dye from the ribbon, into a gas and laying it down on the paper. Hence the term "sublimation". It may also be called "thermal dye transfer".

I am extremely pleased with the unit and the friends I have shown the printouts to are eager to get their own. I highly recommend the Panasonic KX-PX20M!

Easy to set up. Beautiful pictures. Printer comes with a few sheets of photo paper to start with. Very pleased so far.

Purchased this for a friend in Costa Rica - it works wonderfully and the photos are gorgeous! Would highly recommend for 4 X 6 photos only. In Costa Rica you can NOT find the paper and ink for it - but in the USA it is available online. I liked it so much that when I got home from CR I bought one too. I love it! Will be buying one for my daughter for her birthday.

Printer works great! Easy to set up.
Harder to find refill cartridges, but are available; cost seems lower than usual photo printers. Photos are nicely printed, glossy.
Recommend.

Great printer! Makes great pictures, have the hardest time finding cartriges and photo paper. Does anyone else have this problem?
